F-Type R, or Giulia Quadrifoglio?
Thinking of either one of these for my next car. The Jag costs more, so it'll have to be a used F-Type R, or a new Alfa. Have not test driven either one. I'm aware of all the objective data. What I'd like to hear from you guys are your subjective experience with either one. What's it like to drive? Personally, the F-Type looks like pure sex on wheels just parked there, the Alfa is kinda odd looking.
Thanks,

I was heart set on the supercharged v8 jaguar and then I drove one. I was disappointed and found the Porsche S a real sports car in comparison. I believe it's important to test drive any car you are dropping 80 grand on based on my experience. You may love the jaguar f type. I just found it to be very Buick like....without a question the sexist two seater in the marketplace..
As far as the Alfa sedan ? It's a better track car than the jaguar? Go figure...?
I'm not a sedan guy for ultra high performance...
I prefer the open roof of a targa or vert if need be...
I don't want four seats in my personal car...let other people drive ingroups...opinions vary on this and many want 4 or 5 seats....I just don't...
Just two seats for me and my 21 year old autistic son to cruise together...no one else needed..
I believe either Porsche 911s or corvette c7 z06 would get my money before the jaguar f type v8 or the Alfa quadropholio..(sp)
I'm more interested in the tesla model 3 with autonomous and ludicrious mode with awd for an additional passenger vehicle in addition to the corvette...
I think the tesla model 3 with the sport wheels etc looks like an Aston Martin rapide for about 70 grand loaded...
It'll out accelerate both the jaguar and the Alfa and do it in total luxury...
I'm just shooting the breeze..

Both are great cars that compete with the Germans. Drive both and see which you like better.

I have had car crushes on both of these for a while. The C7 Z06 won out over the Jag, then the SVR was announced shortly after I purchased my car. I absolutely love the c7 z06 so I didn't really care.
I think the QF is an interesting car. In some ways better than the germans, in a few others not as good. I would highly encourage you to climb all over one and DEMAND a test drive of both before making your decision.

The alfa is gorgeous. I'm hoping for big things from it, it's a treat to hear or to look at.
I hope the depreciate like crazy and I can buy one for half price in 2 years. The 4C seems to indicate it won't.

Two different cars...... The Jag is better looking (the car is gorgeous!!!) and it's a coupe. The Alfa also looks great (still a far cry from the Jag) but its a sedan. The initial reviews on the Alfa are pretty damn good but the verdict is out on overall reliability, resale, etc...... Tough call.

For those who recommended the C7Z, I've been driving one since March of last year, absolutely amazing ride, 5 stars! I don't keep cars too long, that's the reason for my looking at other options. I've had a C5Z, and C6Z before, and with the upcoming ZR-1, C8 and/or ME Vette, I think it's time for me to try something different while waiting for those to materialize.
Someone above mentioned the 4C, that one is out of the question, too rough around the edges. I'm just looking at the Quadrifoglio (4-door sedan) vs. the 2-door Jag coupe. The Quad would allow me to take my 2 kids to school every morning and go straight to work. Currently, if I want to drive the Z to work, I have to drop the kids off in another car, then go back home and get into the Vette, kinda bothersome to do it daily.
I'm not interested in any Porsches, they all look pretty boring (maybe except the hyper car variant, but that's not relevant to my situation) compared to the Z06, F-type, or the Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio. I'm also definitely not considering any Tesla, way too much problems with QC, service, parts availability, software, and the unacceptable Tesla overpromise/underdeliver way, and how nothing is ever on-time. They run great, when they run.
Thanks for all your opinions,

Have you looked into a used Audi RS7? Gorgeous car with a ton of power that has a very usable back seat for the kids.

Then by all means the Alfa would be an excellent choice. I think it's dam sweet..
Either that or the new Camaro ZL1 ...otherwise a hell cat challenger or gt350r...if your not into keeping cars long...but if you want an adults car...the Alfa would be a very unique driving experience....at 80 grand..
I fully expect resale on the Alfa to be a little weak but if that's not an issue...which it doesn't sound like it considering how fast you flip cars...
I think the Alfa bad @ss..

Kamran: the YT videos are not available.
MVR 155: I'll definitely check out a used RS7.
JerriVette: looks like the Alfa fits my usage needs the best. I've also been looking hard at the SS sedan, something understated and unique, would have to be a manual, though. Too bad I just missed out on the 20% off last month. I can mod the hell out of that LS3
Thanks all!

Personally, I think you're comparing apples and oranges, but whatever floats your boat....
Having said that, how much do you think you'll drive the car, and how far from home will you drive? I know that in the past, Jags weren't the most reliable, but they've come a long way. We've owned a few over the last 16 years, and they've been good to us. However, the couple of times we went "back home" to visit the relatives (700 mile round trip), in one of ours, I was concerned what we'd do, if we had any issues. Jag dealers aren't located every 20-30 miles. However, Alfa dealers?????

IMHO,
I would stay away from the Alfa. Dealing with Fiat is a challenge. Dealing with the dealers is impossible. My experience is they just don't care.
Good luck with the search.

I kinda understand but you know better, at least for the next year the Alpha is not your car. Our local dealer had one and it was parked in between a couple 500's. Go find a Jag and check out the company it keeps.

The Alfa turbo v6 sedan should be a lot of fun....and as long as your not concerned about resale value...go for it...
It's unique and getting rave reviews.
