Default Seattle area ring and pinion shop?

Hey all. New owner here with a 07 VY 6 speed manual. I'm interested in changing rear end gear ratio. Does anyone have a shop that they would recommend?

It just so happens that Corvettes of Auburn is one of the most recomended shops around.

Corvettes of Auburn is great... Dan helped me out yesterday with a busted hose in time to get me out for my driving school today. I'll be asking him for advice on brakes and suspension for future lapping days out at Pacific Raceways.

Another good ring and pinion shop is NW Differential in Kirkland. Those guys built me a bulletproof Detroit Locker 12 bolt rear end for my Camaro a couple of years ago, and I was very satisfied with the work.

Randys ring and pinion, is the best diff. shop around, prices are good and the service is great. They have done all my race cars, I've never had a failure.

Thanks for the info. I've heard Randy's name come up on a few occasions, I think I'll give them a call.

I've bought parts for differentials that I was building myself from them. Very nice guys. I've never tackled a C5 or C6 diff. Are you going to have them do the work? If you don't mind sharing, what'd they quote you for the whole job? And what was included? IE: does the quote included pulling and reinstalling the housing or are you dropping it off for a bench rebuild?

I would suggest getting a diff from DTE and just going that route. Which is probably what any other shop in the area will tell you.

Anyone have a phone number / address for Randys Ring and Pinion? I'm thinking of adding a DTE billet side cover before putting my new differential in, and need someone to set it up since it's not just a bolt on and use it item.

They are located in Everett, just call information. I'm sure I have the number, but I'm moving so can't find it.

Maltbys Motorsports has done many of these and their gear setup was picture perfect on mine.

I found the number. About $120 to install it. I guess I need to call DTE up first thing in the morning and order the side cover.
This should give me a pretty strong driveline now All I got left to do now is add a forged short block.

Buddy got a DTE dif with 4.10 gears for his 97 and had Ellis install it - he couldn't be happier with the package...

Just for reference my buddy got his DTE rear-end with hardened output shafts, and 4.10 gears for about $1,250 (plus core) and it cost him in the range of $450 to have it installed...

Maltby Motorsports recently installed a Stage 5 DTE rear end in my friends LPE TT. They do great work there.
