Default Wenatchee Apple Blossom Corvette Car Rally & Burgerville Cruise

April 24th 2010:

Some Corvette owners local to the Wenatchee, WA area are hosting
the following event (see below)

https://www.appleblossom.org/Events-...ville-Cru.aspx

I know Spring is the start of many car show/rally events -but- if you West side (rainy side) Vette owners want to escape the rain for a Corvette Rally in sunny Wenatchee, cruising, eating burgers and rubbing shoulders with fellow Corvette owners, you all would be very welcome! Regardless of the part of the Northwest you are from, the Wenatchee Corvette Rally Directors, I am certain would love to have you show up and join the rally, the more the merrier! There is NO FEE! It would be very cool to have as many Corvettes in this rally as possible .... Come on over!

Spread the word to your local clubs!

Sounds like a good excuse to take the '73 out for a run

The above is news to me as well.

I was pondering this car show as an excuse to do something new (for me).

Wow, I didn't know about that one, and it's just a week later. That could be fun too!

I'd be up for this. A big group of vettes cruising over the pass would be wicked.

Ok so now we have 3-4 that are wanting to go,keep it going,I know there are at LEAST 10 people that own vettes on this side.I have a friend that owns a winery over there that we could stop at also,it would be good if I could let him know that a few vettes might show up.

I totally agree! I am still trying to arm-twist some members of some local Corvette clubs in the Yakima and Tri-Cities (my neck of the woods) area to go as well. Caravaning to this event would be awesome!

Keep spreading the word!

Has anybody been to this drive-in cruise? I don't see a time set for the awards presentation so I'm wondering when it all gets over?

Not sure. See the flier in my OP for contact information.... I called Bill Lange, and spoke with him for about 15 minutes, he sounded like a very nice fellow, but I confess that I didn't think to ask about when the awards presentation happens. Call one of those guys up and ask.

If I am not mistaken, it is the first year for this.

The flyer says judging and awards from 10 to 10:45 at Dusty's. I take it this means the awards are presented then.
This sounds interesting. Anita and I will plan on going. Anyone else in the south end plan on going? We are in Puyallup.

I hope this to me my first "event", just awaiting a new carb rebuild and installation, but that should be done by then I'm in Covington, provided you dont mind a vintage tagging along

Vintage Vettes are definitely welcome! C1s to C6s ... If it's a Corvette... bring her!

One of the Rally Directors (Bill Lange) told me last night on the phone that he has a Red 1965 C2 ...and it will be there!

Man, this is going to be COOL if a ton of Vettes show up from all over the Northwest! A Corvette INVASION!

Its probably too late to get them to delay judging a while to give us west siders time to get there,we would have to leave at 0700 from the south end to get there on time,I'll be going but my daughter wanted to drive my 65 there but getting a 19 yr old up before 7 on a sat is almost impossible.Someone needs to start a list and see how many we can get to go over there together,I think its looking like about 6-7 so far,it would be nice to get more.

I understand! My wife and I will be getting up early as well. We live in Kennewick (Tri-Cities) and will be leaving the house at 6AM ...my wife and I will be dropping our 3 year old daughter off at my parent's house on the way to Wenatchee. Wenatchee is about a 3 to 3.5 hour drive from Kennewick.
