Reco for "touchless" tire mount & balance?
I know a lot of shops use this kind, but I'm looking for a real high quality shop to transfer tires/tpms to my new matte black GS wheels. I'm sure the finish is hardy and all, but I'm pretty convinced one little slip is going to result in some obvious damage to the matte...
Recommendations are highly appreciated. Eastside if possible, but I may travel a bit to make sure the job is done right.

My only recommendation is make sure you go over the wheels well with whomever is inspecting them before the mounting. Out of 8 tires mounted (Goodyear run flats), 5 have been scratched. Different shops, and each has been warned to be careful, but no one can seem to get them right.

Well I'm gonna straighten out the bent chrome ones and keep them for track use... but to answer your question, I might lower it a LITTLE haha I don't want to constantly worry about my underbody like I did on my c5
Adding a bunch of cool stuff in the next couple months getting ready for summer though.
First have to get the maintenance items out of the way though.. brakes/rotors all 4 corners...

and in case anyone ever searches this, I'm going to give "Seattle Wheel" a try. Seems to fit the bill for a high quality specialty shop. I'll let everyone know how the trip goes in a week or two

The only shopthat touches my wheels is OMNI in Kirkland. They do Classis, street rods, and Vettes. Never a problem. And they are on the list of Tire Rack preferred installers.

Call Dane at Brads custom auto in Lake City, I am pretty sure I saw one when I was in there last. They are just down the street from you, and are a great bunch of guys.

Lee Johnson Chevy has the latest equipment for mounting tires. They mounted a set of Goodyear Supercars on my stock Z06 wheels with no scratches at all.
In any case, I suggest you take good digital pix of your wheels before you get tires mounted so you have evidence of the virginity of your wheels.

Discount tire in Austin, TX where I had tires changed on my existing chrome rims left no scratches either (that I could see.) My concern is primarily around the fact that the flat black will be much easier to scratch, and more noticeable when it is. Plus with the slough of negative things I've heard about Lee Johnson over the years (and the few unpleasant encounters I've had myself) I don't think they are really in the running for me.

I will also say this about Brad's as I recomend them all the time. Call them and speak to Brad himself and tell him what you are interested in and what your concerns are. If he can't do it he'll give you a straight answer. I can say the same about Discount Tire on Evergreen way in Everett ask for Barney Robinson who is the manager there.
