Any competent manual transmission shops in Seattle/Tacoma area?
The T56 in my 2006 z06 has a neutral rattle and is whining under acceleration. I'm looking for a local shop who can get it back to 100% for a reasonable cost without going for a full rebuild. Spent too much on this car already!

Just a different approach that might serve your needs.
My son had the local mechanic remove T56 from his Camaro, and shipped the thing all the way to Texas for a rebuild by someone they knew on the forums. The guy gave explicit packing instructions and it all went well.
This was a last resort after talking to a couple "highly recognized" (not from this forum) local experts that would not listen to what was needed.
