Default Saturday September 27th - GTG/Housewarming in Granite Falls

Ok...

I know that there is a group of you heading to the private collection of very cool cars in Bellevue at 10 am. I also know that there is a mention of lunch afterwards. Why not just come to our new house and have lunch here? Yes! BBQ (brisket/pulled pork/ABT's/Salmon). How does that sound???

Kim and I (Jeff) want to invite you all to our new home in Granite Falls, WA. We finally found a retirement home! No, we're not retired...yet.

We plan on folks arriving no sooner than 2 pm - plenty of time for the short (haha) drive to Granite Falls from Bellevue.

Bring a side dish if you want. Bring some booze. Bring some beer. Bring some beer. Bring some beer. Get the drift?

So, to make this perfectly clear -

Who - Friends of Jeff and Kim
What - Housewarming/GTG
When - Saturday, September 27th, 2:00 pm
Where - 10019 169th Dr NE, Granite Falls, WA 425-293-2798
Why - uh, beer?

Please post up here so we know how many briskets to smoke. We hope all of our Corvette friends can make it!

Jeff

Sounds like a BBQ. I'm in for sure. Long drive but I'm up for it. Who wants to convoy from the south end? Last chance for a good weather drive this year.

Unfortunately Gail and I will not be able to attend. Perhaps Walter would be kind enough to sample my share of the home brew and report back to me. I would appreciate it.

I find myself in need of home brewing lessons. Maybe I could stop by sometime when you are doing a batch.

Great! The Mountain Loop Highway is right around the corner if you're looking for an evening cruise too.

Sorry to hear you can't make it this time. Homebrewing lessons? I'll let you know when I get my brewing system back online and am ready to brew again. Moving into this new house has stalled my progress considerably.

Are you doing the Bellevue car display that Keith put together? I'm meeting him in Puyallup at 9 am to cruise up there and then will decide whether or not to go further north afterward.

When I saw the original post I thought it might be a great way to check out GF as a possible retirement place for us too. Then Walter stepped in and and now threatens to turn a nice afternoon into some sort of personal bacchanalia.

I'll have to think about this now. My wife is scared of Walter (who isn't?) I'll be sure to let you know in time though if we're planning to be there.

Thank you for the invitation.

Hmmm...can't commit quite yet but thats very generous of you and the Wife! If we do come, may have my 13yr old Son with me (Mega car nut) and hope you have some soda (or we'll bring some) , I don't ever drink and drive my Cars.

Not to worry, we'll have soft drinks too. Bring your son - I think there should be some other youngsters there as well.

Why is it that everytime you get involved that you seem to turn any GTG into something that sheds a bad light on the rest of us?

BTW, is that you in the background doing something with that donkey we shouldn't know about.

You know, you're going to get banned from the forum again if you keep this up?

BTW, the "Tribe" was generous again last evening. Don't ask; Aaron reads these posts and you do know for whom he works?

Default Caravan to Granite Falls

I'd like to take a scenic route out to Granite Falls and suggest stopping at Giordano's in Carnation on the way.
http://giocars.com/giocars/
Suggested route...east on 520 to 202, then north on 203 to Carnation.
Depending on timing (you'll want to spend some time at Giordano's) we'd continue up 203 through Duvall into Monroe.
From there continue north on Woods Creek Rd to Lake Roesigner then Robe Menzel Rd or Menzel Lake Rd into Granite Falls.

Since our host stipulated no earlier than 2 this might work perfectly.

Whose in?

Bellevue to 10019 169th Dr NE, Granite Falls, WA 98252 - Google Maps
Depending on the Wife Status, I'd be in. Might have to run home to pick her up after the garage tour. If not, then we'll definitely take the scenic route.
