I love being a grandpa....I can play with them, spoil them and then take 'em back home to mom and dad. My other daughter is expecting a new baby sometime in May...that'll be my sixth grandchild.

On another note, I'm thinking it's about time for a GTG somewhere....

I check this site just about every day to see what's going on.
It is so wonderful to be a grandparent. All the joys of having children without the worries of wedding expenses, rising tuition rates and lying awake at night wondering where they are. What's up with these prom overnighters anyway?

Those are beautiful grandkids Joe. You look proud

What the heck is a "worken dog" Mark? Is that one of those Star Wars critters that live in the treetops? Six days a week too. Man that must be a heck of a movie contract you have.

So, if you can tell us, are you going to be in the next Star Wars sequel? Is it okay if I tell my friends - well, Walter anyway - that your going to be a "Worken" in the movie? Oh, oh, is there going to be a bar scene in this episode, like the Cantina scene in the original? It would be so cool id there was and you could get Walter in as an extra. I can just see it now, Poodle Girl and Worken Dog hanging out in the bar in the treetops...

Oh, wait... never mind, sorry.

I've been frequenting the C4 General board for the past few weeks, just realized there was a PNW board here too. I'm from Wenatchee, so maybe I'll see some of you at them fancy hi-falutin' shindigs y'all have over in Western Washington. And I'll be watching for anything coming my way closer to home too - I see there is at least one Wenatchee car club.

Will look forward to meeting you. I presume you have access to the website for the XXX in Issaquah (not a porno theater) and to Cruzin Magzine's calendar. Hardly what I'd call hi-falutin' shindigs, but a great time with some great people. Shows and Cruz ins all the time.

For a real treat (assuming, like me, you're the sort of person that enjoys seeing people far wealthier than I could ever hope to be, spending their money as I would if I had their money)) take in "Exotics at Redmond Town Center" when the sun peeks out in the Spring. Anyone remember the website address.

Wait until you meet Poodle Girl. I honestly don't think she's dead. Sure looks like it anyway.... Welcome!

Haven't see any of those resources yet - I bought my car the weekend after the most recent meet at the XXX - but I do know where it is, having seen it from the freeway.

I'll look up the XXX and the calendar .. and .. erm .. Poodle Girl. Who's not dead.

<backs slowly away> Aye, I'll do that.

Whoof. Just looked at the website. I doubt my '94 C4 qualifies, no matter how shiny she is. However, it looks like a hoot. Summer's not far away. Is it? Lie to me - please.

If you get there early enough, and the car is nice and clean, good chance they'll invite you into the lot. Often most Vettes park together, just depends on when you arrive and how big the turnout is on that day. They always invite me and my C5Z so don't be surprised if you get the invite...

I'll definitely make plans to be there for one of the early ones - although I seriously doubt I'll brave the pass with it's ice, snow and gravel until mid April or May - at least with the Vette. So far as summer, my wife will be happy to have an excuse to shop, and I'll have a reason to go along as more than just the sidekick.

Max - something a little closer to home for you and an event we "southerners" enjoy every years is the annual "Corvettes on the Columbia" in the Tri-Cities. Check out 3 Rivers Corvette Club's website for more info.

Thanks! I'd seen a bit about that one - it's something I'll definitely consider next year. I bought my 'Vette at a bad time of year for getting out and going places. I figure I got a better deal with the winter closing in though, so it's a wash.

Max, sounds like you are a great addition to the Forum. Husband and I belong to Mt Hood Corvettes and Willamette Valley Corvettes here in Oregon (Portland and Salem-we live 1/2 way between)
Don't worry about the distance to shows. Most have made deals with hotels in the area at a discount! We live on the Willamette River and haven't launched our boat (have our own dock) since we got into Corvettes in 2007. The Burger Runs,Cruises, and shows take up our summer. SO MUCH FUN!!!
Check out mthoodcorvettes.com and the calendar. It shows most of what is coming up. Although not much in winter. Enjoy your new baby!!!

Thanks John ( guess) I thought the E&RTC events were covered by another website.

"Not all techy" indeed. Let's see you try to get 3 hamsters running in the right direction on their wheel to power your Commodore 64.

Silly Phil, my first was the Vic 20 (lower cousin to the 64) and now I build my own rocking gaming machines, and mod Notebooks too. Once had the 3rd fastest ever overclock for a certain Intel CPU many many years ago. And pfft on Hamsters, I use Cats. It is possible to herd them!

Thanks for the welcome, Vik - I'll do that! I'm looking forward to the summer - I've already gone out to the garage and sat in her a few times - it's hard to just wait!

My wife is a Portland graduate, so she's familiar with the area. We make the trip to Seaside now and then, and plan to vacation in (oddly enough) Depot Bay this February. No Corvette in February, but we have plans for summer!

Max, we drive our '02 &'14 year round. If it isn't snowing,we drive them. We have a beat up '92 Dodge truck for gravel and to take cans and bottles to Freddy's for recycling. I grudgingly drove it yesterday and the seat belt got stuck and then the rear lift window fell on my head. I LOVE MY VETTE!
