Where is everybody???
I know the weather is nasty, but more reason to be on the Forum!! Hasn't been a post since Thurs.(and it's an ad)
Took Ken's C7 to club meeting last night (also election night and free Pizza for members). Took us almost 1 1/2 hrs to get there on the 205,and usually is about 1/2 hr. Sure it is dirty now, but Vettes are to drive!!! MHCC and WVCA Christmas parties are coming up. What does your clubs have planned!?

Mine is covered with the Cytek plugged in and living in the very back of the garage. Not in a any clubs. Hope to work on it next month if I can stand the cold in the garage. (temp & noise insulation, new speakers, etc) Have fun driving the old M3 (225K and growing) as my DD....
And I'm all over this site almost every day...Ha Ha

Hey! I'm Here!
I think I'm on the forum every day at least once though have been mostly addressing PMs. Sometimes I worry that my occasional posts are not always well received and so try to keep them to a (relatively speaking) minimum.
Other than that, I've been spending a lot of time down at the boat shop. We've pretty much put the '77 Atlas van Lines to rest for the winter and have started work on the 1973 Pay N' Pak hydro. Thanks to a local fellow for finding it and bringing her "home" so we can see her run again. Hopefully this summer. Thankfully most of her original parts, including that then-unusual horizontal wing and the aluminum cowlings came with her so it looks like this one won;t take us nearly 5 years to put back in the water.
I'm hoping we'll get it done and then maybe, resources pending, we can begin the restoration of the 1971 Miss Madison. The 1971 Gold Cup winner and the subject of a pretty good family movie, entitled "Madison". Will be nice to work on a wooden round-nose unlimited again.
Have been spending a little time considering and surfing about the new C7 Corvettes. Things seem to be easing up a bit in terms of pricing and availability, but still not a lot out there and no "Must Liquidate Inventory" sales anywhere either.
No big deal, my red car just turned 30K and is in fine fettle. Hopefully Social Security will bless us pensioners with a big raise next year.

1.7 percent. I've been saving up for a new toaster and this will put me over the top.

Been out shoveling, plowing and blowing snow. Got 7 inches in Twisp on Thurs. Been sick with a nasty head cold so yesterday I finally swapped over to the studded snow tires on the Jeep and will do the VW this morning if the next round of snow holds off long enough to do the swap.
My Vette has been in hibernation for nearly a month already.

Yeh,it sucks to be in snow with a Vette! (not a snow person-raised in So Cal and then Maui and then here)
Was really raining yesterday, and then about noon there goes a boat down the river pulling a skier!! That's my idea of skiing (with wetsuit!) Luckily where we live, only have to drive our old Dodge PU once in awhile!
I didn't know about So Sec increase-thanks!! Got to go out and get fixings for Thanksgiving-no family close (or alive) so just Ken and me and the fuzzies and furries!!
Everbody have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I'm on here every day or two but mostly lurking... Seeing if anything new or interesting is up.
Speaking of driving Corvettes, my '08 will roll over the 70,000 mile mark in the next couple weeks (it was at 69,500 the other morning when I started up to drive to work). I love coming out of work to my yellow on those grey days - gives me a bit of sunshine to brighten my commute home. I enjoy seeing the rain bead off the wax job and AquaPel is incredible on the windshield for increasing visibility; many times I actually find it provides better visibility without running the wipers when at highway speeds.

My '02Z has over 94,000. Ken's new 2014 which he took delivery of in February, has over 15,000 already. Mt Hood Corvettes is a very active and friendly club. We go on lots of cruises and burger runs. So with the Caravan back to Bowling Green and last summer, it really ads up. Club had trip to Seatac and Crater Lake + + + . I think Ken's '07 had about 86,000 when he sold it .

Kathleen and I took the Vette up to Mt. Vernon yesterday afternoon and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't rain the whole way up there. As always it was a very comfortable and enjoyable drive there and back. We went to see our newest addition to the family....a 9.poind 1 ounce grandson who was born last Monday morning. He's my 5th grandchild...three boys and two girls.
I check this site just about every day to see what's going on.

I hope Pat can finally get his new toaster. But knowing Pat, he probably wants one with a turbo turkey cooker and traction control!

Wow, Joe. That's quite a good reason to take the 'Vette for a spin up to Mt. Vernon. Congratulations to your family!
BTW, do you have time to catch lunch during your teaching days? If so, PM me and we'll schedule something!

Congrats joe. My new ride just arrived from Germany yesterday to be offloaded in Rhode Island. Will be trucked to Tacoma soon for courtesy delivery.
Great reviews on the Z06 from what I've read.
