Thank you 2 sets of CCW's would have been too much all at once, especially when the chrome ones pictured were only $580! Got the last set that included the 4 inch deep lip, 10 inch wide, 19's for the rear, they dont even make them in 19inch anymore.

What!? 580 bucks?

Hell, I can get an oil change (incl filter) and drink free - though machine made - lattes at my local Chevy dealer for that kind of money.

Took my monster out for a drive today. Filled her up at Costco with cheap gas. About $29 less than a similar fill up last summer. But I don't expect it to last; if the price of oil doesn't go up, not to worry, the politicians will fix that with a tax hike. But I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Yep, they were over a grand, so I had to jump on it as soon as I found out. That was my deal of 2014 that, and I picked up the hankooks I got for them on clearance cus tire rack is trying to push them out to make way for the gen 2's, I actually paid (with mounting and balancing) less then 1K all together, when it should have cost me over 2K. Got lucky

Took mine out today too (sunny & blue skies down here).

I didn't realize how dirty it got, while driving in the fog the other night (it was clean before hand).

Curse you sunlight, Exposer of all that is dirty!

Yep...got home this afternoon and decided to take Red Racer out for some exercise. Took the long way down to Dash Point. With the new Corsas on, boy does it sound good. Zoom zoom.

Good times...

Is it a pretty big difference in volume in the car, under WOT?

Our club is doing a burger run this afternoon. Just in time for the heaviest rain!

Nice weather? Bah...who needs it!

Well....I didin't take pictures this time, but here's a photo taken last year at the same spot...

No audio clips, though. I will say that at WOT, the sound is very aggressive but at idle there's just this deep rumble. When driving at normal RPM on the freeway and elsewhere, there's no drone whatsoever and they sound pretty mild. But once you hit that Go Pedal with some authority, it's like a monster wakes up and roars.

My wife now knows when I turn onto our street from the low rumble she can hear half a block away.

Here's the new pipes....

I actually had Corsa's on the car before that the previous owner had installed. But apparently, they weren't installed correctly because when at idle, the car always had this vibration didn't seem normal but I tried to ignore it. Then a year or so ago, I was backing up and went too far, scraping the driver's side muffler one of those 6 inch wheel-stop parking barriers that was set too high. It damaged that muffler causing it to develop a really awful sounding rattle/buzzing sound at certain rpm's. Then it eventually got to the point where it made that same sound at idle. It was embarrassing when stopped at a light, for example, when my otherwise great-running/great looking (IMHO) Vette was rattling like a cheap kazoo.

So....my birthday gift to myself was a new set of Corsas. I liked the others so much, and I'd had them on my C5 10 years ago, I didn't even consider getting anything else. Now there's no more mystery vibration or funny noises at idle and it just sounds great all the way through low rpms and high. Especially the high ones.

Life is good.

Almost forgot to mention that I had them installed at Corvetes of Auburn. Dan and his crew did a great job installing and lining them up to my satisfaction.

Great place to do Vette-related business.
