Got bored the other day so I took everything apart, right down to, and including the valve covers, even took apart much of the old wiring
-painted the valve covers and coil brackets in red wrinkle finish
-pulled apart, cleaned, and reassembled both coil harnesses in red electrical tape
-stripped both the injector harnesses back to the firewall and applied new tape
-rerouted both harnesses to be more aesthetically pleasing, and be out of the way
-relocated the evap solenoid off the engine, put it on the frame under the brake booster
-pulled the fuel rail and painted it with chrome finish paint
Thats about the gist of it, I'll be sanding and painting the intake one of these days, as well as the alternator bracket, and the throttle body. But this was just to get me in the mood to do more LOOK! There IS a small block under all that haha!

Why thank you, gives it a little more character without all the plastic covers, I hate covers over the mechanicals. I actually need to do new rotors myself as well :/ always looks so nice after new rotors though! Wish my setup allowed those brakes, wicked

Well, since you asked, I've been using the C6 as a sorting table to try and figure out that to do with the hundreds of old car magazines I've been hauling around since my childhood (the day I bought my first Corvette )
I've got at least 4-5 boxes full of old Hot Rod, Rod & Custom, Car Craft, etc. some as early as 1953.
I have a few on Ebay but getting little response. I think I'm going to give them away eventually.
What was the question?

What did I do to my car today? I took my little dog (102 lbs.) for a ride to Costco. Thought Saturday morning would be a good time to hit it rather than the busy week - forgot that many would be there shopping for the Super Bowl...
BTW, she likes the seats but says they are a bit snug for her.

Took mine down HWY 30 from Portland to Astoria, went over the bridge to Washington, turned around, headed back over to Oregon and down to Seaside. Continued on to HWY 26, stopped at Camp 18 for dinner and came home.
Nice drive!
