Thought you might be interested....XXX Rootbeer place in Issaquah...nice write up....
Being that the XXX Rootbeer place in Issaquah is the first place many of us started gathering back in 2004, I figured this article would be of some interest.
Chime in if you were part of the group that met at the JC Pennys in Tacoma and cruised up there one Sunday about 10 years ago.
My Torch Red C5 is just to the left in this photo with my Red Racer plates. The C6 was brand new at that time and there was just one at that time in the group...
And here we were at the XXX.... I see Mark and his green C4 back there among others.....

Hey Keith...
I clearly remember your '98 because you'd added the then brand new C6 5-spoke style wheels to your Vette and remember thinking how good those looked.

Thanks Joe. Yes...I thought they were pretty nice at the time. I have stock C6 '08 rims now and I am not really excited about them, but I'm too cheap to get some nice CCW 505A's, even though I just paid off my car a couple weeks ago. Got other things to spend money on. (New flooring for the house)

I was there with the 2002 Torch red z51 that I owned. I met Mixer Mike for coffee and then followed him up there, met you all and made the drive back to Issaquah. In fact, my avatar was taken during that very ride. Still have not changed it all these years later.
I live in South Carolina now, and am driving my 3rd C5, a z06. Hope all of my Washington friends are doing well.
What ever happened to Mixer Mike?

In the picture at XXX Mixer Mike's Red C5 is on the left, with the chrome z06 wheels. Mine is on the right next to Red Racer. And I thinkk, but am not positive, that 1badc5 is peeking out there in the far left end there. Think he had wagon wheels when he first got that.

Nice that you still have a pic of our cruise through Tacoma on the way to XXX as your avatar. I think that was going east on S. 12th street...a detour because the regular freeway entrance to I-5 north from the mall where we met was blocked by construction at that time. Believe it or not, they are still working on that same 1 or 2 mile stretch of road even now. Of course a lot has improved, but there's still much to go.
So when are you coming back to the great Pacific Northwest?

I don't really know, to be honest. We no longer have equipment out in the PNW so the necessity to visit there for work is gone. Have no family out there anymore. I still do have a whole lot of friends out there though, and I'd like to make a visit happen to see them, but I just don't know when that will be.
