Default I Feel Spring in the Air... so?

Beautiful weather today. We had guests so I didn't manage to get the C6 Aero Lightweight (one of 42) out, but hope it will be nice tomorrow.

Was there an event this morning at Redmond Town Center?

I see the Issaquah XXX is hosting an "import" show tomorrow, which I suspect is either a "tuners" show or a display of Dodge 200s (Americas' Import). Jeez I just crack myself up sometimes...

I'll probably watch the NASCAR race, but may head down to the XXX afterwards.

Just curious.

I wouldn't mind stopping by XXX tomorrow, but I have to mow the grass. If its dry in the morning I'll get it done and swing by XXX in the afternoon.

Took mine out for the first time this year, just a little drive to Costco and back. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice with some clouds, no chance of rain till late evening. Imports eh....might be worth a stop, expect a lot of Subbys and Acura's.....

I guess I am driving an "import" again. The last one was a Pantera decades ago. Perhaps I will stop by.

Well it looks like a lack of serious planning in here, we have Phil coming after 2pm (Nascar race ends at 2) and Walter at 11, Fred whenever his grass dries (good luck with that, mine is a swamp) and who knows for the rest.

I may stop by 12-1pm or so, bring my 17yr old so he can check out the cars and take him for a haircut.

And Phil, I seem to get the feeling this lightweight C6 is mythical thing, you always write about it but it never comes out to play? Ha Ha......

Oh no. Phil's 1 of 42 aero lightweight does really exist. I have actually seen it. Phil does drive it on very rare occasions. That is why it probably has about 1,237 miles on it now.

I just watched the first 20 laps or so. Typically this now leaves me with enough time to mow the lawn, take in whatever's at the XXX, paint the guest room, work on my upstairs hobby den/tribute to OCD and still get back in time to watch the last 120 laps or so.

noonish, or around 1, sounds better to me. John, I've got some magazines (Cavallino) for your son.

Okay, but if you see my car, you must not not write "WASH ME" on it. that is not dirt. I've carefully applied a very fine coating of oil repellant/absorption material on the upper surfaces. The same stuff that race tracks sometimes use to absorb oil.

Cut the Grass? I've still got a half foot of snow on my lawn. Which is about 1.5 feet less then normal for early March. Going to be another BAD fire season for us over in eastern WA.

Already took the studded snow tires off the VW TDI 10 days ago. Jeep and F-550 are next.

It was, wasn't it? Never saw so many people turn out for a XXX car event. One may not truly understand what the "Tuner/Import" hobby is all about and I confess I looked on in bewilderment more often then I smiled. I took a few pictures, which I don't think I'll bother to post. (since I've never had much success at that sort of thing.

John Sorry I missed you, but we live close to one another so if you want to bring your son over or just pickup those Ferrari magazines, let me know.

Wow, huge turn-out, not surprised though. Got there around 1:30, parked in front of the Sea Doo place. Didn't see a Vette bud anywhere, but there was a nice Black C6 Z06 in the show I saw.

Have no idea where you live Phil, I'm in the Trossachs part of Sammamish up on the Platue. No worries though, E@RTC should be starting up sometime soon.

I did find out I need a new battery for the Vette, usually keep it on the charge all winter, found it unplugged last weekend, charged it up but in starting always sounded kinda weak. Wouldn't crank when we wanted to leave, but found someone with a jump box. Tested it when I got home, got 3 good, 2 fair, 1 dead cells. Trying to recondition it right now, but probably time for a good Gel. Think it might be the original GM Delco battery anyways, 11yrs is way too long!

I'm on 220th John. South of Pine Lake by a block or so and west of Pine Lake Village (QFC). No rush. A E@RTC sounds like a good idea.

Well, I guess I now know what it feels like to be not relevant. Oh well.

That said, I clearly brought the wrong car. The Vette felt awkward....where as a black Evoque Dynamic Coupe was featured! Who knew, Grandpa got game!

These kids aren't so bad

But can we get Goverment to do something worthwhile for a change and mandate baseball cap wearing instructions? (bill forward please)? It's a visor for Craps sake!
