Yeah... Old replies in that post. There are usually several Vettes in attendance at E@RTC - I have done what they asked and inquired about my car beforehand (still waiting to hear back) Being that my C4 is 1 of 780 like units produced for the 96' model year, I should be OK most weekends. Either way, we like attending and since we're less than three miles away, I won't be offended if there are some weekends where the C4 just doesn't fit the definition of exotic. They really are a nice group of people - with several owners letting our son sit inside their 200-300k cars

Yeah, last year the corvettes showed up in force...and like an hour before 8 haha! The northern contingent should get together again somewhere to rally down there, if I remember correctly it was the costco in bothel?

Hi everyone,
Most know that I live down here in Houston now but was part of the gang at RTC at its inception. That said, I can offer you some pointers. The parking thugs (a name I coined in 2009) are volunteers and do not appreciate when there is this huge line of cars at 7:30am when they get there. Please do not get there before 8am because most of the volunteers have yet to arrive and have coffee themselves. I cannot stress enough how much time and effort this takes for the thugs. Please respect that. Second, I use to make it a point to find out how many vettes would be there so I could secure enough space to park together. Issue with this is if I set aside 20 spots and only 10 of you show up then I look like crap. Same the other way. Corvettes are one of the best marques there and should represent. Just do not rev engines or do spirited take offs that are over the top. You will make us all look bad and get banned. Enjoy the opening and wish I were there.

The question about the winery is that it is a yearly event held on Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday. Since I am no longer there not sure if it is schedule this year but would guess that it is. Last year was so so because of weather. I suggest anyone interested ask the E@RTC folks since they sponsor the event.

Eric -
Thanks for chiming in & providing some insight. Everyone we've met & interacted with related to E@RTC has been very nice. There's clearly a lot of work that goes into it and it's appreciated. It really is a very cool gathering that brings folks together to enjoy the cars and conversation. Looking forward to another year of E@RTC.

it is something special to show up, mid pack, with a bunch of fellow enthusiasts driving Corvettes Sadly, I however won't be there for opening day I've got her all in pieces right now. I'm in the process of painting mine satin black, and doing a re-dye on the interior (can't decide between Modena tan, or red and black two tone). It'll be off the show circuit for a while this summer. Hey, does anyone know if we're doing a get together/photo shoot like we did last year???

Hope the weather's clear, and everyone has a good time!
I'll be stuck here in Singapore, wishing I had the Vette with me, and exotispotting while I'm in town. 3 Lambo's, several Ferrari's, and a ton of Maserati's over the last couple of days. Pretty good considering the import taxes and license fees triple the cost of the car.

Its looking real nice for Saturday on the weather report for thd last couple days, so maybe its time we get a rally point together for the up north folks??? Lets say, same spot, parking lot of the Bothel Costco @ 7:30, that is if anyone from the north side other than myself is planning on going
