Do you keep it on a good trickle charger when not in use? (mine always is, Cytek one from DDmods)

Do you check the fluid levels every 6 months and refill with distilled water when needed. (assuming its a normal lead cell unit)

My original battery finally lost a cell (11yrs old!) just replaced it with a Gel Odyssey Battery that Sears sells.....Being Gel no refilling and it can never leak onto the ECU below....

Phil, wth? It was mega full again, only took a few pics all still on the camera. 2 C7Z's, 2 new Rolls, a La Ferrari, and everything else.....

Two words: Battery Tender jr. Used them on my motorcycles for years and discovered they work just as well on my C6. Don't use it all the time, but when I do I drink Do...

These little things can be had on Ebay for about $25 and come with two sets of leads. One to hook up to the battery and another with clips if you want to use it sparingly. My original better is 9 years ld and still works just fine. Not sure how much longer it will hold up, but so far so good.

That reminds me now that I think about it. Can you push start a manual transmission Corvette without harm to the electrical system?

Bummed I did not make it out to E@RTC. Was up until Midnight Friday troubleshooting the VATS system. Ended up having to build a new resistor and place it inline between the ignition cylinder and VATS module to convince the car it hadn't been stolen.

The upsides:
  • I now know a 6'1" person can contort and repair under dash wiring of a C4 without too much pain
  • I'm an expert in the understanding of the late C4 VATS system

There was a blue LaFerrari there. The guy didn't stay long and too many people in the way to get a pic.

There was a Lambo SUV the LM002 I think as well.
