Do you check the fluid levels every 6 months and refill with distilled water when needed. (assuming its a normal lead cell unit)
My original battery finally lost a cell (11yrs old!) just replaced it with a Gel Odyssey Battery that Sears sells.....Being Gel no refilling and it can never leak onto the ECU below....
Phil, wth? It was mega full again, only took a few pics all still on the camera. 2 C7Z's, 2 new Rolls, a La Ferrari, and everything else.....

These little things can be had on Ebay for about $25 and come with two sets of leads. One to hook up to the battery and another with clips if you want to use it sparingly. My original better is 9 years ld and still works just fine. Not sure how much longer it will hold up, but so far so good.
That reminds me now that I think about it. Can you push start a manual transmission Corvette without harm to the electrical system?

- I'm an expert in the understanding of the late C4 VATS system
