Default Ordered

After mailing the $2K deposit to MacMulkin, I received a confirmation that a courtesy delivery is available to Auburn Chevrolet--just 10 minutes from my house. The car is a very close match to my wish list--with the exception of black calipers, prefer red. The TPW is 6.15.15, and now, I will keep my fingers crossed that the C7 Stingray replacement of my C3 gets delivered by late July. I appreciate all the instructive posts and pleasant personalities on the Corvette Forum. Unwittingly, many have aided my understanding about the trim packages, options, and the confidence to pull the trigger on a first-time, long-distance vehicle purchase.

Default Congrats!

Wish I could have found a courtesy delivery a year ago!

My advice is to make your C7 a companion to your C3 rather than a replacement.

Good that you could get a "courtesy" delivery. I tried and had no takers.

Z51 - check
NE1 - check
FE4 -check
Q7T - check

Awesome package. You are gonna love it.

Thanks, I am trying to curb my excitement-- grateful for a forum dedicated to like-minded enthusiasts.

From what I read, the success rate for an individual trying to negotiate a courtesy delivery is slim. In the back and forth communication with MacMulkin, I structured the entire deal, including the deposit, contingent upon a courtesy delivery. MacMulkin asked for the names of three dealers, and did the leg work.

These options were important to get to yes:
1LT--the seats were much more comfortable than a 2LT or 3LT for my physique, HUD wasn't a big deal to me.
FE4--wanted to have the suspension options for various Corvette club functions.
CFA--prefer shade, after sitting in a car that was optioned with the transparent roof on a 54 degree sunny day, it was too hot for me. Think greenhouse.
MEL--my C3 was a manual, and paddle shifting was unthinkable. Sold a few weeks ago, only one Corvette can fit in the garage.
NPP--listened to a car w/o NPP and that helped my decision.

Congrats on your order & pending courtesy delivery. I am only 10 minutes away from Auburn Chevrolet as well.

Keep your eyes open here for a BBQ at my house - I'll be posting shortly for an early June BBQ for fellow Corvette aficionados, whether you currently have one or not!

Looks gorgeous! I love the red with black accent color combination and bet it looks even better in person.

XC6, I ordered the carbon flash adhesive from VetteFX--about $20. Go to--http://www.vettefx.com/c7-stripes-1.html, and then scroll down to box, Grill Black Out Vinyl.
The decal matches the CF finish and is simple to install. I found extra help about installation from searching the forum on this topic. I am suggesting a search because the vinyl/decal did not come with instructions.
Admittedly, there are less expensive options, e.g. electrical tape, but a high-quality finish was desired. I am very pleased with the final result, and appreciate the consistent color scheme.

Ok, I give up....I've search 15 pages, almost 200 posts and found nothing helpful about installation. Can you give me a clue or point me to a post number?

Update, Sean just sent me a installTion video link

C7 Grill Blackout installation - YouTube
For extra installation tips, click onto the C7 General Discussion thread and type, "Installing tape on chrome strip in grille" into the Search this Forum field. I found post #2 and #8 helpful. Post #2 shows the carbon fiber vinyl applied, but for a better match, IMO, the carbon flash vinyl is the way to go.
