Wow, last 10 laps were not boring. Some great back and forth passing till JPM made his stick with 3 to go.

Oh, they did race, but that didn't make them great announcers. Cheever did a few years in F1, but no great successes.

yes, John, the last few laps were pretty exciting. Glad to see Montoya still has "it".

Who won Monaco?

The F1 race was a pisser. Will not spoil it for those that want to watch. As for Indy, Cheever has won the 500 and Scott Goodyear who was the other announcer finished 2nd twice from what I recall. You cannot hold the the announcers accountable because they are paid to make things sound enticing on the TV. They have to deal with whatever they are dealt and we do no give them credit nor sympathy. The last 10 laps were awesome compared to Monaco.

Agreed.....but just pathetic. Taking their own team out in the pits?! Followed by anther no incident crash into the wall?! Makes Corvette racing supremely more professional by comparison.

I suggest not allowing anymore rookies in Indycar. The teams can figure out how to work around that ruling in their spare time.

I hated him when he was racing in F1. But it was a surprise to hear he won it (yeah I missed the race). He's getting a little long in the tooth for car racing, one would think. But hey, he won. Proof's in the pudding.
