It's an enjoyable drive if you jump off the highway onto 12 east then north on 7 and 161 to Puyallup. It could be better, but then it gets to be an all day drive

I have a birthday to attend at 1 pm in Washougal. I'm trying to justify getting up early and either making it to E@RTC or Audi Club day at Griot's. I've been a member in the PNW Audi Club since 2008.

Wow, I'm not even a Corvette club member yet.

So many options for a Corvette owner and there was only one choice for Audi that I remember.

Don't tell anyone, but I kept my membership in Audi Club to drive the Maryhill Loops Road

We saw "Rush" through the Audi Club in Redmond couple years ago and I've been a member ever since. The Wife does own a nice '08 V6 TTq, so we're not cheating.

Confidence inspiring cars to drive. I had an 05 Allroad with the 4.2 for a couple years. I put over 40,000 miles on it in 2 years. I looked at my fuel receipts (I keep them all) over a 3 month period to average it out and I was spending $420.00 per month in fuel

With the Corvette and 23k this last year I am averaging under $200.00 per month. And when I see the price of premium at Costco close to $3.00 per gallon I feel better about putting my foot down

Not to take anything away from Audis other than to say I had one - a 5000S - and it was underpowered, not especially reliable and expensive to fix. The resale absolutely sucked. I know this is unfair - and I'll say the same sort of thing about my one BMW - but based on my experience with one of each, I will never buy another.

They are popular though and so must be better than when we owned them. Still don't want one. Must be an old guy thing, ya' think?

Phil, you need to read up more. BMW's are always better handling then Audi's cause they keep to the 50/50 plan. My Wife's TT is fast, but it's numb feeling to me. No feedback from anything..but its nose heavy and perfect for women...And Audi does some of the best interiors in the business....

No argument there, John. I'm sure they are better cars now than when they were when I had mine. I just don't find them very appealing anymore.
Just sayin'
