It's really too bad that Chevrolet doesn't include information about The Wave in the Corvette owner's manual. Ever since I owned Corvettes starting back in the mid 70's, I thought The Wave was part of the pride of ownership. It was something you did and I recall that you always got a wave back.

I'll bet that if you walk into any Chevy dealership and buy a Corvette, the salesman will have no idea about The Wave and why you should carry on that tradition. Sad.

I've had quite the opposite reaction in Redmond/Bellevue area. All but a few have initiated, or returned the wave (including generations before/after my C4) -

Seems like the C6/C7 guys are the worst. Sadly, I own a C6 and always wave, but when C6 guys don't wave back I'm a little sad haha.

- one of the plus sides of having a 6 speed, is I'm not tempted by the phone. I regularly commute to downtown Seattle via the bus to avoid 520 tolls, and the amount of people driving and on looking down @ their phone at the same time is

If you see me in my Yellow C5Z and I see you I'll be waving.......always do, though I admit to not always seeing the other Vette soon enough if there is a lot of traffic...

Yes, it happens. I always wave, but am not always acknowleged accordingly. Guess I shouldn't be using the Mazda so often.

Perhaps I'm just having bad luck... It feels like about 65% wave, 35% don't around where I'm driving.

But thanks guys

3 weeks ago I drove the Vette over to Lake Chelan from Everett. I passed 6 or so Vettes and all of them waved! Makes the trip so much more enjoyable.
