Default F/S my gold 1987 autocross car

Time to move on with my '87 and get a newer (faster?) car for next season. I have owned this car since 2003 and it has been very dependable. Started to autocross with it in '05 and have done tracks days at Pacific Raceways, PIR, and The Ridge. The car runs at NWACC autocross events at Sanderson Field in Shelton. Even got a few trophies with it....

Engine is bored .030 for 355 cid, ZZ3 cam, balanced and blueprinted, intake runners port matched, and lightweight flywheel. Transmission is the 4+3 with a new clutch about 12K miles on it. 3.07 gears.

The interior has Corbeau Forza seats, G-Force 5-point harness, Sparco harness bar.

Tires are NITTO NT05's on AFS ZR-1 17x9.5" wheels. An additional set of wheels for slicks is included. Front brakes are C5 upgrade with Z06 pads in front and Hawk HPS in the rear. Suspension mods include Banski components, ADDCO 32mm/26mm sway bars, and new Bilstein Z51-specific shocks.

The paint is fair to good. I had removed the carpeting due to damage from a prior owner.

I'm asking $4000 or best offer. Cash talks!! I have more pics and details available so if anyone is interested, send me a PM with an email address and I can provide them. There are some pics in my photo album titled "my gold '87".

Hi,
With those mods what class do u run in autocross?

I had an 85 that ran for a while in the NW--it was Black and I had an auto--really enjoyed autocrossing. Ran a lot of the events back abt 8 or 9 years ago. A lot of fun. Moved to the Boise area last year and thinking about it again but like you, may want something newer and faster---but sure had fun in the C4 those years.
Good luck with the sale!

I have only run in a regional Corvette club association. Never ran SCCA or BSCC classes except for Time Only so I really don't know where the car would have been classed.

Ok Thanks a lot! I originally ran A stock back then and then had the auto transmission go out and I updated with some beefer parts and it threw me into SM2 in SCCA which left me way behind in all events---LOL but it is still fun just to Run.
Good luck with your sale. and have a great Christmas!

If anyone has interest in a good car at a good price from a great guy, this car is it. I can personally vouch for both the car being a good solid well maintained machine as well as a seller who is a very honorable and detail oriented. George has been a fixture in our local Corvette community for many years and has earned tremendous respect for his dedication to the Corvette and racing hobbies.
So if you have the desire to come play on the autocross track or maybe do some track days, this car is a great starting point. Who knows..... maybe you can even beat George's time with the car he sold you.

Thanks John! Maybe I'll even toss in a few driving secrets Or maybe you can share your secret skills!

Only had a few nibbles so far. I am planning on having the car at the Corvette and High Performance Meet in Puyallup on February 5th and 6th if it doesn't sell by then. Somebody make me a deal!!

SOLD!! New owner got the car on the 9th
