Washington Corvette savy dealership for service?
Does anyone have any good experience bringing their car to any particular dealerships in the puget sound area? Im very cautious about who I will let look at my car and i want someone who has a good reputation and knows these cars.

Where are you located? North end, south, east side?
I am curious about this also. I recently purchased my 2012 Grand Sport from Jet Chev in Federal Way. Anyone have any info about them as a service dealership?

A good dealership in the Puget Sound area???? Heck the rest of us would settle for good dealership on the west coast.

If you are not taking it in for a warranty repair, don't go to a dealership.
Corvette's of Auburn is a full service Vette specialty shop that also does GMPP Extended Warranty work.
Excellent techs and great customer service, and no surprise, they're very busy.
Highly recommended.

Wong's Performance Engineering in Vancouver, WA is also highly regarded.

and to my knowledge Sunset Chevrolet is the only Performance Certified dealership that is close to you. Jet used to be Certified for Vettes but I don't see them as Performance Certified online anymore.

I am also in Puyallup and when I need something done that I can not do myself I have gone to Corvettes of Auburn with excellent results. Quality work at reasonable prices can not be beat.

Yeah guys this would most likely be a warrenty oriented deal. Im hearing a noise in the rear suspension that i can quite describe other than it sounds like a loose shock banging around or something like that, possibly something with the rear transaxle???

What year is the car, miles? If warranty must be C6 or 7? You might check sway mounts/endlinks, shock mounts or worn shocks, diff/trans mounts, exhaust, u-joints. Do you get the noise on smooth surfaces or bumps, acceleration, transition or coasting? Depends on how solid or tinny the sound is too.

Took mine to Gilcrest Chevrolet in Tacoma years back and had zero issues. This was 2002/2003 way back. Who knows. May be a Dunkin Donuts by now.

Really? Why do you say that? That's actually where i bought the car from.
And after some more investigation i am 90% sure that i have a bad CV shaft on the passenger side. It only makes the noise when im taking right turns for the most part. I may just get a new CV shaft and replace myself. I just dont trust dealerships and the mechanics who may work there and decide that they need to go "performance test" my car.

Service department thinks "Corvettes are a pain to work on," and they wanted $600 to install new spark plugs. (I changed plugs and wires in 90 minutes -- first time on a C5. My total cost, about $85.)

I love Speedway for warranty work. They have always been honest and easy to work with when my wife deals with them. I however would not recommend any dealer for non-warranty work due to the fact they charge double what a good independent shop charges.
I have used Speed Secrets in Monroe for non-warranty work on the C5. They have been honest and easy to deal with as well.
I typically troubleshoot issues myself then have my wife (who knows more about racing and high performance cars than I do) bring the car into the shop for estimates. She doesn't let on that we know what the issue is until after we get the estimate. That is one of the best ways to know if they are going to be honest with you.

I had Burien Chev do all the work on my C-6. Most of it was electrical but they did the new warrantee clutch, a PS rack (in the first 100 miles) they had a Corvette guy, not sure now. They were really diligent when I had the dreaded c-6 dead battery syndrome.
