have an appointment with the discount tire at Smokey point possibly monday (or when the tires arrive) to replace the GY run-flats with non run flat Hankooks for my C5. with all of the reviews that i have read, granted there other possibilities, i decided to go this route. the quote for the set is roughly $725. will post at a later date and report on the satisfaction level.

I've used Discount Tire here in Everett for the past 15 years for my C4 and my C5 with great results. If you have any concerns about how you want them to handle your car be sure to point them out when you go in and they should taker good care of you.

had the new tires put on yesterday at smokey point discount tire....all new hankooks. all 4 tires are the ventus v12 EVO2 K120s. bill was $867, but at the last minute decided to buy replacement insurance. on the way home noticed the smoothness and the quiet ride, so am hopeful that it will be awhile before having to address tire problems again. seems after a callback they must have put in 32 lbs pressure, so will return later and probably settle on 30 lbs. other than that they do feel a lot better going down the road.
