Default All Corvette Show and Shine....save the date

Save the date……

Eastside Corvette Club and Speedway Chevrolet present an All Corvette Show on July 2, 2016 as part of the Evergreen State Fairgrounds’ Northwest Rock ‘N Rev Festival.

Besides the All Corvette Show, there will be live bands, headlined by Steppenwolf, track events and auto crossing, Food vendors, and all-day music. The show and shine starts at noon with People’s Choice trophies awarded at 4:00.

Go to www.eastsidecorvetteclub.com to see a flyer/information sheet with additional details.

This is the first year for this event and should be a lot of fun!

Not that it worries me, but it seems to me there are now more Corvette groups/clubs in the PNW than ever. It looks like there may indeed be some overlap.

Not complaining but what happened if anything to CMCS and which dealer is "supporting/sponsoring" which group? This is the first I've heard of the Eastside group but seeing that Dennis is involved makes me wonder what's going on. Then there's the Chelan guys...

No big deal. Clubs are clubs, but being perhaps the ultimate "joiner" I'm curious as to how many clubs there are now in the PNW?

As long as I'm at it, do too many clubs dilute the interest and support of the dealers? Does it matter?

Phil:

"The Chelan guys" is only fun. Two of us got together to just have fun with the name. I agree with you. A plethora of clubs tells me the current ones are no serving the Corvette community well.

Otherwise, people would jon them and not start another "club".

Does this mean I don't get to be a charter member of the Chelan Group?

Default Last Minute Reminder

Last Minute reminder....If you are coming to the Show on the 2nd you can get in as early as 10:00 AM, even though the flyer shows a 12:00 start time.

See you there!

I'll be coming from the South (Renton). If anyone wants to meet up, let me know. Normally the Maplewood Golf course is a good spot.

So where's my window sticker and membership card? Oh, I guess you haven't modified it to add the vintage Hydroplane, right?

so, I plan to be there. Sounds like fun and the entertainment and activities sound terrific. That said, I'll need to leave before 4:00 Should I avoid entering the show altogether (I'm not likely to be an award contender, but I promise to clean up the car and make it presentable) or should I park somewhere else rather than leave an empty space in the show when I leave?

Please advise.

BTW, who, among you forum groupies plan to attend?

Well, that one will be difficult to miss. I'm still not sure what the "drill" is. Do I just show up at any gate or will there be signs to show us where to go for the show?

Come in the main gate to the fairgrounds and there will be people to direct you to the show site.

See you there!

I went with my brother-in-law (Ammo Vette), had a very nice time. Good group of 70 cars, lots to look at from each generation. Show was in the stands area for the speedway where an autocross was running. Fun to watch and listen to the cars on the AX. The weather was fantastic, warmed up as the sun came out.

Thanks Eastside, nice show!

Hey Ken! Thanks for showing me your car at the show and the info on the short shifter. Was curious about the change and enjoyed trying yours out. Big difference, short and crisp. Many thanks.
