2019 Corvette Caravan to Bowling Green - Save the Date!
I have taken on the task of the 2019 Caravan Captain for the Pacific Northwest Caravan to Bowling Green. The route is not yet finalized yet but we are in the planning phases with exiting stops along the way. If you have never done this, you need to. Where else do you get to travel across the country with hundreds of Corvettes?
We have three years and if you would like to keep up on what is going on, there are a few links below:

Put it on your calendars and join the Facebook page. There is nothing like this event!
Send me an email if you have any questions!
Taken at the Speed Museum in Lincoln Nebraska.
One of the day trips in Kentucky.
Ready for the opening of the Motorsports track!

Did the 2014 Caravan and worked with Robin Forrer as the coordinator for Western Washington.
I hadn't heard much about the 2019 Caravan so glad to see you have taken the reins for the 2019 event. Are you having any planning meetings or going around to the Clubs yet?
We had a number of CMCS folks go on the 2014 caravan and a number of them are interested in going again.
Looking forward to the next Caravan

I have been working with Robin on the tasks and what needs to be done. I have also been hitting all of the local shows to pass out flyers and start generating interest.
My plan is to finalize the route within the next week or so and then start going to the different clubs and share the activities planned. If you would like to help out, please PM me your email and I will add you to the list.

Too bad Erik! My first one was 2014 and it was a lot of fun and adventure. Soo... keep it on the bucket list.

2019 National Corvette Caravan Route
The Pacific Northwest route has been finalized! I have attached a couple of pictures from Google Maps showing the route from Seattle/Kirkland and Portland. I am excited to lead this effort and will do my best to get the word out as much as possible this summer. But I know the information below is what you have been waiting for so please read below on the current route for the 2019 Pacific Northwest National Corvette Caravan to Bowling Green!
Day 1: We will gather in both Seattle/Kirkland area as well as Portland to kick off the caravan. I am still working on the logistics for both cities and plan to be on-site for the Seattle/Kirkland kick off. The plan is for Portland and Seattle/Kirkland caravans to meet at McCurley’s in Tri-Cities for lunch and then on to Lewiston, Idaho for the evening. I have contacted Ilene at Valley Corvettes to see if they can help with the first night festivities. More to come on this.
Day2: The caravan will travel across scenic Highway 12 past Lodo to Missoula and spend the night in Bozeman. I am still working on a hotel and lunch stop.
Day 3: The caravan will continue on I-90 to Rapid City, SD which is a departure from the 2014 caravan. We will be meeting with another large group on day 5 (outlined below).
Day 4: The caravan will continue on I-90 to Sioux Falls, SD. No further details are available but there are some great side roads that can be traveled through Badlands National Park that look pretty interesting, especially in a Vette! I am looking to see if we can do something with the North Dakota group which is part of the larger North Central group.
Day 5: We will travel to Wisconsin Dells, WI and meet up with the North Central group. I have spoken with Ed Saari and he has some great things planned including a happy hour, catered dinner, and an opportunity for hot laps at a nearby track (not in that order!), along with sharing out passion with other Corvette enthusiasts.
Day 6: We will travel with the North Central group to Bloomington, Il for a catered lunch at Leman’s Chevy City, part of Sam Leman Automotive Group. Then on to Effingham, Il for a catered dinner at Mid America Motor Works.
Day 7: We will stage at Mid America Motor Works and travel to the Red Wagon Restaurant for lunch where we will again stage until we receive clearance to leave for Bowling Green.
I have received some feedback regarding the length of time this year. When you compare it to 2014 it is a little less than a day extra but we get to do so much more with the North Central group.
As always, if you have any further questions that I may be able to answer, you can reply to this post or send me an email @ 2019PNWCaptain@comcast.net.
