Default New Forgestar wheels on their way!!!

:cheers :

This is the first pic of my new wheels! They are the bronze ones in the middle. If they ship out today, I will likely have them on for xxx! Now I just gotta get my car back from the body shop and all will be right with the world again.

I haven't seen your car in person (yet), so I'm excited to see it with the new wheels. They look great!

Yeah, i just got back from the body shop, and they cannot even contact corvette creationz to get me my front lip. If they can't get a hold of my splitter by Friday, then I'm going to take delivery of the car. So I might not have a splitter, but I should still be going.

What sizes did you get? These are a great wheel for the C5's.

Man I tell ya, it has been a dilema with this body shop that has had my car. They finished, and painted my front bumper THREE TIMES, so that didn't help things. I was supposed to get the car back on Friday, but their appointment with the guy that does the clear bra, was so late in the day, that he didn't finish by the time they closed, and they aren't open weekends so I lost YET ANOTHER WEEKEND!!!! to these incompetent, imbeciles that had my car. That being said, here is the car

I had them make out a check to me for the front lip, since they never got in touch with the place that sells it, the ONE time that they actually tried calling (almost a month ago), but they still billed the insurance company for it, so I got the money in the end (gonna buy a carbon Vortex lip ). Anyways, the front looks a little weird now without a splitter. Since I added skirts, and the vents all around, the whole car looks closer to the ground, until ya get to the nose (which is already higher than the center of the car anyways, on a C5). I didn't get many front end shots because of that, I just couldn't find an angle that looked...GOOD. When I get the front lip, aaaand maybe pull the skirts, and paint the headlight covers, it will look more like I want it to

Regardless, Here she is

Looking good, great looking wheels. Something about the skirts doesn't click with me. Maybe it's just the particular shape.

With your luck, since you got new wheels I would be paying attention to Curbs popping up like they can do while you're driving.... You can tell the wheels are wider. You may have a little less traction in the heavy rain and when cold.

Hope you have broken the run of the wrong luck.

Have you ever had the side/door trim off? I never did on my C5 but there were a lot that did and some looked pretty good. Guess it was just a matter of some fishing line and then polishing up. Might not be good on an older vet it it's faded a bit. Just an idea in case you run out of things to do.

I still like the dark louvers on the hood. Do you know what the reading on your window tint is? Need to get some new on my car.

I picked them up brand new for super cheap, and slapped um on to see how they would look, but they are just a little wide in the middle for me. I will likely take them off, paint my headlight covers, put on a new lip, and THAT will be closer to what I want. The first time they painted the bumper, they said it was too light, which leads me to believe the car may have been re-painted at some time in it's life. In which case, it is suspect whether they painted under the bsm, or not. Right now they will stay on, but they might come off next time I spray the car. My tint is 35% sides, 25% rear, but it all looks darker with the matte finish on the targa top, and the halo.

Looks good, sorry it was such an ordeal to get it done. That color is a great match with the silver.
