Default Pebble Beach 2016

I've been watching this when it was live and was going to delete it, but clicked on the link to find the event in replay.

If you have never done Pebble Beach, you really should plan it now for 2017. There is so much to see and do in the area that week. And Yes, it is worth the admission to the Concours for at least your first time. Just get there as soon as it opens in the early morning as the grounds at PB fill up FAST.
Of course, there is also the:
Carmel's Concours on the Avenue
Carmel Mission Classic
The Little Car Show
Mecum Auction at the Hyatt Regency Monterey
Russo and Steele Auction
BONHAMS & BUTTERFIELDS AUCTION
RM AUCTIONS
GOODING & COMPANY Auctions
and on and on.
Not to mention the great scenery and all the great cars mor=toring all over the area all week. But you have to book lodging at least a year in advance unless you have DEEP pockets.

Thanks. We've done Car Week many times. First time in 1979 when it was still a "clubby" sort of event, especially the races, but Pebble Beach was - if not casual - at least not overly formal. I think our tickets that year were something like $20 and included a program. Beautiful event and we've returned a number of times.

I like your proposed itinerary. There are so many events now it's good to know which are "don't miss". Sadly the whole week has become so crowded and, as you say, pricy. So much so, we no longer even put it on our calendar. We have friends in Monterey with whom we stay, but even with free lodging, it's just too overwhelming for us these days.

But, you're so right. It's something every car enthusiast at least once.
