Emission Test in WA
Hello Guys,
I just bought a custom corvette from another forum member in MI(they don't have emission test over there...) so long story short, the corvette I bought has a custom exhaust from header to the back and with all the built in sensors. It was done very well and I hate to re-do someone else's perfect work.
So the question is does anyone around the WA area know any inspection points with someone might be able to "help" with this situation?

Where do you live? There are some places in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties where emissions testing is not required. Those areas are by ZIP code so that is important.
What year is the car? 2009 and later models just have to show they are CA emissions compliant and then no test is necessary. More here
IF you do have to go thru emissions testing, the car has to pass in order to get WA plates. Check out this DOL website for information.

You may want to go visit Corvettes of Auburn to see what they can do to prep your car for emissions testing. Good people They are well thought of and very experienced in all things Corvette.

Normanly if I remember right, if no emission test all they do is a code check with a reader. If no codes your usually good to go. My 04 is highly modded, but I've kept out of states plates on it since I've been here. I'll be gone and retired before my 13 Z is 5 years old and will require a test.

It doesn't matter, if your car is OBDII then all they do is scan for codes. So if your handy with tuning, or take it to a speed shop that does computer tuning, you can have just about anything you want computer control wise.
