Default C7 on the Anacortis Ferry?

Anyone taken their C7 on the Anacortis Ferry? Am planning a trip to Orcas Island later this year, and am wondering about ground clearance when entering and exiting the ferry.

Have not for tide reasons...there are days when I use the ferry and I say to my GF -- glad we dont have the C6 today -- I dont think we could get off/on.. I hear if you schedule your crossing with a close to "0" tide you are ok.

I've been across with my C6 and didn't worry about the tides. Just let them know you'd like to go up or down at an angle if you are at an extreme tide.

Thanks for the info! I hadn't thought about the tides.

Get the app on your phone and watch for high tide, that's the best time for a low car....

Most, if not all, the ferry docks have articulated ramps to get you on and off the ferry. Wih the possible exception of an extremely low tide, you should have no problem.

Your most significant concern should be having some kid or careless adult, opening their door and hitting your car. It's never been an issue for me and the C6 and I've often found the Ferry workers conscious of the potential and find you a place on the boat where this won't be an issue. At worse you'll just have to stay in the car and watch as the cars alongside open and close their doors.
