3 dirty corvettes, 1 clean thunderbird
Last week I bought a 1962 Thunderbird to go with the 1991, 2000 and 2002 Corvettes. I just finished giving it the wash, claybar, buff, and Rejex treatment. Today was sunny so I lined them up in the driveway. I still need to clean the tires, chrome and carpet.

That T-bird is crying out for whitewall tires.
Clay "barring" that thing must have seemed like mowing the lawn with fingernail clippers.

The third time worked out. I flew to Twin Falls, Idaho to get this one. Although it was not as nice as described I could not pass it up as it was a 6 speed with supercharger. I drove it home about 2 1/2 years ago and have been doing little things to it since, along with driving it regularly. It has about 84000 on it, and I can definitely state that the supercharger makes a big difference in acceleration. Below 4500 RPM it makes more torque and HP than my 2002 Z06.
From the picture of your 91 it looks like a very nice car. Throw some more photos of it, including the interior, and info about it up here.

A Rare Option
Keith,
I was doing some research on the "bullet" T-birds with respect to your particular car. You may not be aware of it, but that swing-away wheel and the left side ignition switch are part of a commemorative package Ford offered on this model.
It was called the "Bonnie and Clyde Package" and commemorates Clyde Barrow's fondness for Fords. Some may recall the letter Clyde sent to Henry Ford back in the day praising Ford for building such fast and durable cars.
The articulated steering wheel and the left side ignition was meant to provide rapid entry and getaway with the car during bank robberies. You may want to look in the glove box and see if those bullet hole decals provided as part of the package are still there vis-a-vis the Pace Car decals on the '78 Corvettes.
This is true. Look it up.
Sorry, just couldn't wait until April 1 to tell you.
Jeez, I just crack myself up sometimes....

Phil, I really was not aware of that rare package. I guess I really lucked out in not having to pay extra for it.
Just out of curiosity, were you aware that your C6, the "1 of 42" aero lightweight, was such a rare model when you bought it? Should we start a museum of car rarities with our 2 "very rare" cars as the centerpieces?

Keith,
The "Bullet Birds" have long been my favorite T-Bird. Yours looks very nice. Hopefully I'll be able to see it one of these days and get a ride too??
