Who plans to go to opening day at RTC this year assuming it isn't rained out? Date is April 1st.

Weather permitting I'll probably go. I attended the season opener for the first time last year and they ended up turning cars away because they were full. Plan on getting there early unless you just come to look.

I'm there will probably go with the Mrs. this time though. She wants to go, but doesn't want to leave at 6am haha! As this progresses, we should set up a GTG like we have in years past. Do lunch afterwards? Weather dependent, of course.

A GTG/ caravan would be nice. Been a long time since we have done that but I have zero intention of trying to get into the show with my car.I just want to see who shows up for opening day. Some of the rarer cars might come out to play.

I was planning on parking on top of the parking garage a few steps away to the south east and just walking down. Nobody parks up there at that time of day. Plenty of room for those that aren't allowed in or they haven't got room for.

Lunch afterwards works. There are a lot of choices in the area or a short drive away.

You should hook me up with a photography page on the website sometime like yours (unless it's only for event organizers/coordinators).

If I show up with the wife, we won't be in the show, but I will most certainly come in the Vette as the date draws closer, we will come up with a plan.

I freely volunteer to coordinate the Northern contingents' convoy, as per years past (they don't allow you into the show unless you are a Z06, or ZR1 anymore ) and I will bring my camera perhaps this will be a good time to coordinate a photo shoot afterwards as well! Over a dozen people on 2 threads, and through PM, told me they wanted advance notice for my next photo shoot, so that they could be included. The open-air top of an empty parking garage is an excellent spot for a large GTG photo op.

Is anyone interested in mall food, and a photo shoot

The Costco in Woodinville has been used in the past for a staging area for notherners before moving onto Redmond. Anyone from further north could pass by via hwy 9. From there its a nice drive through Wine Country on surface roads to RTC.

The parking garage I plan to park at is a good spot for pictures if you're looking for that quasi industrial look. It will be devoid of other cars and have plenty of room.

We're still weeks away but the seed is planted.

If you regularly take photos at Exotics I can make a page dedicated to your photos. You're welcome to Watermark them all as well! We appreciate the photographers a A LOT at the show.

One thing some groups do opening day is get in REALLY early (7:30ish) and park right next to the main show lot, creating basically a mini-show of their own. If anyone with a C6 or newer Z06 or ZR1 would like to enter, they are welcome to of course. I know, I know, "why isn't my car being let in in?" is a hot topic, but I think we did our best to explain it and I hope everyone knows we really are fans of all types of cars (most of our volunteers don't have cars that qualify to get in, seriously). It's in our FAQ, here: https://exoticsat.com/info/2017/1/29...ked-frequently

I don't think most will go for an early bird showing just to try and get near the show in the adjacent lot. The rules have been discussed here in the past and there will always be someone left unhappy. There is no value getting into it. The organizers do the best they can and it certainly can be very challenging since the situation is often very fluid. I prefer to simply not get involved since the real appeal is discussing with friends that came out to the show what cars have shown up and what we would like to see show up. I'm hoping for a new Ford GT at some point this year.

I'll let you know towards the summer. I only went 3 times during the 2016 season (which I wouldn't say is frequent). My goal is to try and get out there at least 5 or 6 times this season.

I was able to show my "Standard" C6 which by the way is supercharged and many mods, was let in one year, but I did not make the cut last year...So needless to say, I will not bring a car to the show just to be turned away.

I'm hoping to go, weather permitting...and get in. I'll be talking about the 2019 Corvette Caravan if anyone is interested. I have a 2'X3' route map laminated and weather proof that I'll bring to use for the talking points as well as general interest.

Sweet gonna try and see if I can talk my wife into that haha! I'm pretty sure I would need new seats, softer coilovers, and maybe a shopping trip to talk her into a cross country trip though. RTC is the perfect place for the later anyways
