I enjoyed my drive in to work in my Z06 today - it was nice to actually need sunglasses! Unfortunately, I've got two final exams I'm giving today so I wont be leaving work until 9pm tonight. For those who can get outside today, enjoy the beautiful day!

Unfortunately, mine stayed in the garage. I needed to take my mom to an appointment in Redmond and she has trouble getting in and out of it. She did wonder why I didn't drive it though. Oh well, today I paint and the rain returns!

Maybe I can get her out in another month!

My mom used to enjoy riding in my Corvette but would always pretend to not want to go faster on that "certain stretch of a certain highway" near here. This photo is when she was 94 and I used to take her places in my C6.

Just more of a liquid sunshine!

Just came back from Spring Mt, where all NE'ners had scaped the snow storms... guess it could be a lot worse here!

Standing at Lost Wages airport waiting for rental car shuttle, guy tells me I don't have to wait in the sun (temp was 85) and I can wait under the tent in the shade. I told him, you don't understand! I come from where there's no sun, son!

I am afraid of driving the Vette in the rain, because I'm worried it might shrink!

It's not like it's new england or the mid west where there's snow and ice on the roads 6 months of the year.

They clean up ... though not to everyone's standards and I understand that too.

Yes, there is the issue of shrinkage from being in water...

Current forecast for tomorrow (Sunday) is sunny and a high of 52! If so, I'll take my wife out to lunch somewhere - with a drive thrown in for good measure of course. Now I just need to figure out where...

Drive up through Carnation farms up to Snohomish and top off lunch with some home made pies! Stay on the east side of farms..hardly any AAA's with guns!

Side trip from our vacation in Palm Springs. Went up to Vegas to see a Rod Stewart concert. My god how they drive on 15 up to Vegas. 80-85+ in rush hr like traffic. Lady in a little VW Bug looked like she was glued to the windshield went by me at 85. She looked pissed I was going so slow and I thought I was in the fast lane.

Since we are talking about the rain thought you might like this. He puts on a great show. Still going strong at over 70 now.

Different venue, thinking of you guys.

Have been on that route several times. I guess the only thing that should surprise me is that they aren't all wearing Helmets the way they cut in and out. They do slow down a lot closer to Vegas, for the most part.

I much prefer Highway 93 from Vegas to Twin Fall ID. No traffic and wide open space to have some fun... I 84 also has 80mph speed limits a lot of the way in Idaho, and much more sane drivers , JMO.

Fun either way.

Note the sign...

Southern Utah also has 80mph speed limits on I-15, was fun when driving my '04Z from Montana to SoCal......I just added 10% and set the Cruise Control....

I fly to San Jose every year for the races at Laguna Seca (16 years in a row) and takes me a couple minutes then I'm up to speed!!!

The rainy weather hasn't spared the usually "dry" eastern side of the cascades either! The Tri Cities have been VERY wet!
