Panel Adhesive/Filler or Fiberglass Matt???
I was going to put a set of 2" flared front quarter panels I got from Josh at Custom Image on my 78.
I started by using a 6 ½ circular saw to cut an eight inch deep line at the bonding strip on the driver side quarter panel.
That is as far as I got before it got too cold to work in the garage this past winter. Fast forward to today and after I got the C6 wheels on with 2 ½" spacers, I find I do not need the flares.
So, do I fill in the gap that runs from the driver side door to the front bumper in with panel adhesive, sand it out a bit and fill with panel adhesive or sand it out and use matt and epoxy resin???
Here is a shot of the car showing the wheel fitment relative to the fender.
Thanks for your guidance!!

Go Vette Go,
For me I can not answer the question you want to know. NEED PHOTO'S
I would need to see a photo of these fenders on the car...and then either a good photo from the bonding strip side. They just need to be held in place and photo's taken.
The reason being...I would need to either see or you describe how much of the new fender is actually contacting the factory bonding strip.
It actually may need to be bonded...then glassed in...and then more adhesive added to get the shape correct.
Hard to say.
