Default C3 paint prep

I removed the paint on a 1972 with a heat gun & razor blade. Should the remaining dark grey primer be removed?
Thanks in advance.

YES...Take it all off down to bare fiberglass.

And for what it is worth....'thinking' that the grey primer and such that may still be in tight 'nooks and crannies' is where you can have problems in regards paint delamination.

I go through pain staking procedures that make sure that I have NOTHING but bare fiberglass. Simply because I have to warranty my paint work...and from what I have experienced...any shortcut I take comes back and BITES ME with a VENGEANCE.....and the amount of time to do it over...makes me wonder why I did not spend the time to do it the right way first. WHICH IS WHY...I have not had any problems in so long because I take the TIME to prep it correctly the FIRST TIME.....take that for what it is worth to you.
