Default Panel bonding question

Just finished a 5 year project on a 67 Coupe and got it on the road this summer. I bought this car as a project off of a local Corvette shop that was a personal project of his but he had no time for it. It's not a restoration, it was pieced together from various C2 cars. Anyways, the body was all together, gel coated and bolted to a restored frame when I bought it. I did some custom features to the body and had it painted. After driving it this summer I noticed a creaking type rattle from the passenger side behind the seat but was never able to find the problem until this past week. I noticed where the right rear fender is bonded to the rear door jamb it is starting to crack. Now the car is all finished and painted but I can get at the back of the joint from inside. I bought a quart of Everlast Vette Bonding adhesive and I'm going to try to clean out the joint as best as possible and smoosh as much adhesive in there as possible. My question is, after the adhesive dries should I glass over the whole inside as added strength, glassing the rear quarter to the birdcage? This is not a NCRS show car. I built it for fun and to drive so I'm only concerned about keeping this crack from getting any worse. Any advise would be helpful.

How do I check if they need shims?

visually inspect all the mounting spots. look for a body mount that looks different. like it is not as tight .

I will check that. I know that the mounts are all new. I never knew they had to be shimmed. The body was already mounted to the restored frame when I bought it.
