Default Rear fiberglass replacement

Has anyone ever replaced the complete rear section(door jam back) and used a one piece body section to do this? Is it best to replace each body panel at a time? I already have a complete rear one piece section. Can this be done? Thanks for any info.

When I do it...I do not leave the 'B' pillars (rear door jamb on body) attached. So...the quarter panels are removed from the 'B' pillars and then across the top.

If you are using a good used rear clip....you will have some time into getting it to come off without destroying it.

HEAT and an infra-red thermometer are going to be useful so you can see how hot you need to get it to allow the panels to release.

Dub, is there any area on the inside rear compartment that can be separated besides the bonded area at the top and sides. I was thinking if I drilled out some rivets will those areas separate?

YES...but you still have to remove and fiberglass strips from the panel that were riveted to the body so they can be re-riveted back on and the panels could bond back to them.

Do you have an assembly manual. IT would be very helpful to you...to sit down and go page by page and see what is up and how things come together.
