Default Convertible Deck Lid Hinge Color

A good friend of mine is working on a frame off on his 68 BB convertible. Prior to placing the body on to the frame he has a question about how far the body color goes down the deck lid hinge(s) and to type (color) of the primer on the lower portion of the hinge(s). Picture?? Years ago he did a blue repaint and he is now wanting to it repaint back to original (yellow). Thanks you in advance for any insight you can provide. Hugh

I am assuming on how you wrote the post...you friend is wanting to do a factory correct re-paint.

I really do not know how to re-do this back to original. 99% of the time I paint them and not worry about the originality aspect.

Maybe post this in the "FACTORY CORRECT RESTO' section...or contact someone in the NCRS...and I believe there is a section just for 1968 Corvette owners here on the forum.
