Default Puma Air Compressors any good?

I'm looking at this unit. Anyone with first hand knowledge.

http://www.aircompressorsdirect.com/...ssor/p592.html

It has a USA made motor but a twainesse pump. $989 to the door

This is my first choice, NOT A PUMA, all USA made
but of course more money $1435 to the door

Sorta comparing an Audi to a Ford

Thanks for looking.

Depending on your CFM requirements...that is what I would be looking at. I like the second one.

Since you are considering painting the car yourself, you will be saving quite a bit of money. I would recommend not skimping on the compressor, filters, desiccant and gun. I am close to painting my '64 and bought a high end Sata gun. I am not recommending any gun, by the way, just that my choice was to use higher end equipment due to offsetting the labor costs. My $.02. Good luck.

Default Compressor

Dave, good to hear from you. I'm finding it hard to fault the 3.5 hp Quincy that provides almost 15cfm at 40psi. I'm limited in the space I have to put it.

Default Say hello to my littl' friend

15 cfm @ 40 psi will work for me along with less than 30 amps at start up. Big step up from my 1hp and 12 gallon tank that came thru for quite a few + paint jobs.
