C5 Nassau Blue Chips and scratches
Background in Body work.... Zilch! All back yard, non professional.
BUT
I have done my 83 S-10 bed with a spray can paint job and 1000 grit wet sand to an incredible shine that my peers didn't believe. So There!
Anyways, back to feet on the ground.
She's a daily driver, and when I first bought her two years ago, her nose was 'almost' flaw-free.
Today, that nose looks like a buck-shot target, and I want to make amends to her.
And there are new scratches too.
I'll post a picture of a particularly annoying 'swirl' dead center on the rear deck above the plate behind the hatch.
My paint is listed by Chevrolet as Bright Blue Metallic (23U) or WA 348D
I've had some auto body people blow me off when I tried to buy paint, eventually having the guy who painted my headlights tell me that there's 'something about my paint'.
He and his boss went on to show how most paints had "Gradients" to allow for age (exposure to sunlight) that causes changes in color.
They showed me a computerized chart that said my paint 'had none'.
But when they painted the headlights, VOILA!!! Le Match!
As what you're probably thinking is your worst nightmare, this guy getting all ready to 'attempt' to paint his corvette.... not to worry.
I'm just looking to touch up the dings for now.
I'll leave the REAL PAINT JOB to the professionals, .....

What year is it? 2000? Try searching at AutomotiveTouchup.com
Its a great source of touchups that I have used for some of the difficult metallics from the C7 Gen. (Night Race Blue and Carbon Flash, both have tons of flake and their products matched perfectly for my home-spray projects)
