'66 quarterpanel replacement cost
I've been asked to replace both quarterpanels on a '66 using new PM panels from Corvette Image. I've done this twice before on my own cars, so I'm capable of doing the job well. I'm struggling with coming up with a fair price for the labor. I figure 1-2 hours to remove, .5-1 hour to prep, 1-3 hours for trial fit, 1 hr for final installation, and 1-2 hrs for filling the seams, sanding and making it ready for primer. So, 4-9 hrs. per panel. A wide range, but curious what anyone else thinks a fair billable time would be per panel. Anyone?

i think you are a little short on hrs . basically 2 days start to finish .
maybe ok for an estimate but my guess is you will have closer to 3 full days in it . if i remember right the old Mitchell manuals flagged 12 hrs per side and that is roughed in not finished for paint ..

I have to do it from time to time on new Corvettes and it is an insurance claim. But...when it comes to bonding on panels...the time it takes is the time it takes and I do not try to match any book times. Because in many cases the times in the estimate book are a JOKE!
