Water marks etched into windshield
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove water marks in glass; windshield?? I bought a '04 ZO6 that came from Florida and the water marks or spots are almost etched into the glass. Would like to know what might remove them?

I have had GREAT success using CLR ( Calcium Lime Rust) product that they sell.
I also agree using the finest steel wool you can get your hands on.
The Corvette that I worked on that had so many bad hard water spots on the glass t-tops and rear glass....I had to soak paper towels in the CLR and let it soak for about a day...and make sure the paper towels stayed wet and then using the steel wool ...scrub my backside off to get all of the spots to go way.

Will have to give that a try the next I encounter hard water spots on glass.
I have tried rubbing compound and also the compound for removing scratches in glass (cerium oxide)...and BOTH of them seem to have NO effect....SO...it would amaze me that clay would do it. I have seen crazier things though...so anything is possible
