Are you doing it yourself or contacting it out?

Running a truck/bus body shop...you deal with fiberglass/SMC panels.. I am sure your paint jobber should have something to choose from....I hope.

BUT...Many thoughts and views on this subject.

I prefer to apply a gelcoat on a car like this.

Some feel that other products satisfy their needs.

I do not use this specific type..... but Slicksand is a worthy polyester primer. There are many made from some paint manufacturers....so...it depends on what you can get your hands on.

It should work out fine. And as you know...having all you repairs completed before you shoot it is what you wan to do.

FWIW, . I used both on my projects. But I'd stay away from Eckler Gelcoat whereby a wax layer rises to the surface. Evercoat
Gelcoat cures with a PVA layer that you spray on and comes off easily the next day with soap and water. My .02
