Default 99 FRC rear end gears??

What does an FRC have for a rear end gear ratio?
I have heard if you put in 411's its a big difference.

Any comments for a first mod?

Thanks

All FRC's come with 3:42 gears. I tried 4:10 gears for road racing and spirited canyon driving. Did not like them at all. You always seem to be between gears. Went back to stock. For drag racing and general driving the 4:10's work great.

I have 3.90 gear in my FRC and it's quite a change from 3.42's I think 4.10's would be too much.

If you do any highway driving at all keep the 3.42.

Thanks guy's,

I'm thinking that you have to shift sooner, but the higher gears get you in the powerband faster.
WCC has them for 1200bucks and touting "unbelievable acceleration"

Is this a good bang for the buck? Its not a daily driver, that's why I was thinking 411's. I would like to keep up with the stock C6 on the street.

Only go with a lower gear like 410 if you are going to run it at the track.I'm sure you already know how difficult it is to get traction with you 342's and its going to be alot more difficult with the lower gear.

3.73 is a good compromise for your application. I went to a M12 with 3.73s and love it

As stated previously the FRC's (all M6's) come with 342 gears. Personally, I decided to stick with the stock 342 because I went FI.

I would think that the centrifugal supercharger would shine with the 4:10 since they kick in when the motor really starts spinning (as opposed to the roots type).
