What is the weight of a FRC?
Just wanted to know what the FRC vette weight is? I want to figure what my car weighs with me in it. Also does the FRC C5s weigh the exact same as the Z06?

your car weighs: 3173 lbs. (coupe and verts are 3247/3248)

The Z06 weighs: 3130 (2001) and 3118 for '02-'04 I don't know what the 12 pound difference is, maybe someone can chime in and let us know.

While mass production variations account for slight differences in horsepower, fit & finish and such, I doubt that would apply to weight.
Not to imply your not being truthful, but more the result of the "margin of error" with the scales you used, or what condition the car was in when weighed. For instance, I'm not sure if the curb weight listed includes a full tank of gas or not. That alone is 120 pounds! If you were at a 1/4 tank, and curb weight is measured with a full tank, then there's your difference.

I know the 2002-2004 Z06 had slightly lighter wheels (less than .3 pounds lighter each?) but that wasn't a whole 12 pounds difference, its got to be some other variables (fuel, scale accuracy as mentioned above) I would think.

Hey PHPD...where did you weigh your car? I weighed mine at Byron dragway. I cant believe your car weighs almost 200 pounds lighter than mine, unless you have done some weight reduction.

My FRC weighs 3280lbs with a half tank of gas, full 15lb nitrous bottle and accessories. Set of tools, gym bag full of clothes and shoes and my heavy *** iron block..

Just read your profile and you have the same exhaust setup as I do. Car only has HUD and Bose CD as options not sure what else could make the diff.

Mine weighed in at 3150 with 1/4 tank and a few things in the trunk area (no more than 20 lbs). I have HUD, and AH which would add a little weight over some of the other 99 FRC's. These cars are just new seats and headlights (remove motors) away from 3000 lbs.

Mine weighed 3060 on my friends race scale. It has four pads that you put under each tire. The weight distribution was better that I though 53% front 47% rear. We also used the scale to set the suspension for weight bias w/ me in the car. Pretty Cool stuff.
