-MSD Wires
-Vararam Air Intake
-Stainless Works 1-7/8 Headers w/ 3" X-Pipe
-McLeod Street Twin Clutch
-McLeod Aluminum Flywheel
-RPM T-56 Transmission
-3.90 Differential w/ all internal goodies
- 60# Motrons
Dyno was done on Drag Radials and they only did a few pulls on it. It was on a Dynojet, it started getting late and they said the car was too loud they didnt want to do any more pulls until tomorrow. Engine was built by SLED28
515 RWHP 480 RWTQ
520 RWHP 484 RWTQ
They also said they havent had any detonation at all and there is still more tuning to do to pull out a few more. The car has been down for 5 months and it has old gas in it. They are going to let me put a few miles on it, get fresh gas, and try to find a good fuel pump for it.

That's extraordinary from a 402ci I know 427ci that can't make that power.

Im having Drivability Issues, under 2000 RPM is stumbles and isnt smooth. Riding out the clutch is hard, wants to stall. Anyone have any advice for tuning? I am running 60# motron Injectors and stock fuel system. I have someone that will trade me plus $ for Motorsports Green Tops.

Very nice power out of that 402. Congrats to you and Sled28 for building such a stout motor!
The problems your having sounds like it's all in the tune.
May be best to wait until you have a fresh tank of gas before you tune it aggressively.
Sent you a pm.

You might want to try swapping out the motrons, I've heard they have had drip problems.. Is it chugging like its fat when its under 2000rpm's?

The 60's can be made to work-I'm using them on a 346 with just a blower but when I'm not in boost it runs just fine. Just sounds like an issue with the tune-have hooked up a wideband to see what's happening. That's some killer #'s though! Dave does some nice work!

Thanks EB02Z06!
SCannons, can you get the shop to email me the HP tuner file of your car? Maybe we can have a look from here and make some changes down low. Email it to sled28@look.ca
Thanks!

Thanks Arun. Its a 01 C5 coupe, you don't happen to have one of those in your laptop by any chance?
I sent a email for the stock program though and when I get it, I'll forward it to you.

My guess is that your tune is not yet where it needs to be. I also believe you have way too much injector. You should be just fine with a 42# set. I have SVO 30's (they flow about 35 Lbs/Hr on our cars) and I get 470/461 out of an A4 with 205 heads. (Your flywheel numbers and mine would be within 15 HP of each other.) Most people use the 42# injectors with a 402 if they are running NA. The 60 Lb. injectors just make it harder for your tuner to get an idle you can live with.
After a further tune the 60's may work but if you still have idle problems after that I would go to 42's. You might also want to consider drilling the TB, but only as a last resort.

Is there a way to transfer a HP Tuner file to a Tuner Cat file? I have tuner cat with the LS1 Definition file. I have 42# Motorsport Green tops sitting here that I might try. If someone knew what parameters needed to be entered for the 42's I could use my tunercat to change it and install them myself.
