stock c5 1/4 mile time?
Does anyone know what a 98 stock c5 should run (auto). I'm installing cold air intake, pacesetter headers, 3'' piping all the way back with stock mufflers (no cats) and tuned. What should the time difference be, and how much time will I gain if I put a dry nitros system? Thanks for the help..

I just did 2 runs last night in a mostly stock 99.
Only mods are Vararam, slightly ported Throtte body and MAF, de-screened.
My car has a lot of options so it's a little heavier than most C5's at 3250 GVW, I took nothing out of it to lighten it up.
3/4 tank of gas, stock run flats and A4.
This was my first time at the drags in about 30 years, so I was being conservative, with Traction Control ON (I figured it could do a better job of launching than I could do)(I was the only C5 out there)
In order of the runs:
13.397 @ 103.11
13.579 @ 103.57
.... I was expecting to be in the 14's

Love the Test Results
My vette is similar to what you presented, my rear axle is a 2.73 really designed for high speed touring; however, when selecting the package went with the A-4 HO high performance gear set which seemed logical to me when purchased new. I average 20-22 mpg combined city and freeway. 0-60 is 4.3 by digital stopwatch that reads in 4 significant decimal places. In a Vette however, 0-60 does not mean much, 0-80 is more like 6.5 if that makes any sense. RT Phoenix -LA at 75 mph on cruise control, no AC was 29 +. Air in tires 35 psi-using nitrogen as it expands less than normal air (old NASCAR trick).
Loved your report, saves me from going to the strip (closest being 150 miles away in So. Cal).
