Weighed my car... whats yours weigh???
This weekend some friends wanted to race me cause both of them put nitrous on their Fbodies. One said his car weighed in at 3500lbs and weighed it locally. So before racing we all went down to race our cars. I weighed my 2000 FRC with the draglites on the car, and the rear brake on the front conversion and 1/4 tank of gas. The car weighed in at astonishing IMO 3000lbs EVEN!!!!!!!! I was like holy crap! This is obviously w/o me in the car. Funny thing is the DTE trans/diff brace adds weight, vararam adds weight, Fat MAMA's etc.
Curious if this is what my FRC weights, wondering what other cars weigh. So postem up I'm curious.

ROBZ how does your car weigh in at 3131lbs w/o you??? You have the CCW's and a Z06. The windshields are lighter than my cars... what puts your car up there? Unless the scale I was on was drunk and high? or i guess that would be drunk and low...
Oh and if you were at Etown how did you run????

I assume the rollcage is about 75-80lbs.
Toolbox/partition/misc junk in the trunk(not Alex) about 50lbs.
About 3/4 fuel.
I'm doing some R&D braking in a brand new clutch and ran like chit. Hopefully it will grab fully next time out. 11.0@124+
My 60' times were 1.5x's-1.7x's. Sometime you have to take a step back to make a stride forward.

I would say a lot of scales are off. Even a 3% variance is 100 lbs.
The listed curb weight of a C5 Z is about 3150 with the coupes being about 100 lbs heavier.
The scale at E-town listed my car at 3130ish and it is certainly heavier than that with the 19" wheels, exhaust, stereo stuff.
Alex (the weight ****) has chased me down to diet that pig a few times.

My 99 A4 coupe weighs 3500 with 240 lb driver & full of fuel. That was last yr & would guess I lost about 100 lbs and run with 1/2 tank or so.
