Default RWHP to Crank HP

355 RWHP = what in crank HP with 6 speed? What is the formula to figure out a good estimate?

355/.85(15% drivetrain loss)=418

Should be a close enough estimate.

I would say that 15% is a bit much in a C5... going by the same formula an LS6 intake, ported stock throttle body, tune, and catback yielded 394 HP at the crank... that seems a bit much no?

your killing me smalls.

It is probably more like 12% but I was just using round numbers to show the formula as clearly as possible. In reality most cars percentage will be slightly different anyways, the only way to really know is to actually dyno the engine.

I won't have the vette back out till I get a clutch, hardened shafts, and headers. I will certainly be out soon in the new daily, gotta break it in right!

I'm out for Sunday though, gotta work.

For manuals, 12.5% drivetrain loss is close.

rwhp/(1-.125) = crank

Most of the loss is in the differential.
