Default Fell short again fellas.... 11.15 at 128mph@cecil

I tell you sometimes i feel like a little black cloud is hanging over me LOL! I took the car to the grudge nite at cecil tonight and didnt get what i wanted by any means. I made few passes between wreckes, oil downs etc. 1st pass launched the car a little to hard and god sideways out of the hole with a 1.977 60ft ran it out the 1000ft mark and smashed the brakes to run 11.73 at 99mph. I came back around after sitting about a hour and start the car run again and dont spin as bad but bog to 1.84 60ft and run that out to the 1000ft hit the brakes hard and run 11.9 at 80mph. So its good racing weather with a light to moderate tailwind on some passes. I pull up and say F'it i'm doing a full pass. Do a nice burnout. I pull up to the line and launch and it felt REALLY good, nice clean 2nd with a little to much wheels spin. Then hit a clean 3rd and a really nice 3-4 shift. I was like wow that felt really really good I think that may have been it or really close. So I got up for my ticket. She said sorry no ticket. I was like do know what i ran???? Nope! I come back to the lanes and say oh well might aswell run again. Friends seen the pass said she came out nice but it was only a 11.15 at 128mph. I was like FUG me and went to the main tower the track rep said to do cause "I WAS DONE" for going 11.1's. So go up there.... nope the time showed on the board but didnt print/record a freaking lick of it! So pissed off I go back and the guy who said i was done said well no slip we have no record of it you can try again i guess LOL. SO I DID! Pulled up nice burnout and tried launching a little to hard and wheel hopped a little and spun to a 1.84 60ft again and ran 11.24 at 125.96mph. Not sure if the car just got hotter on that pass or a combination of that and wheel spin reduced the MPH. So sortof a new best MPH with no proof So the saga continues. The crazy thing is the car likes a not as well prepped track IMO. I was able to get a decent spin on the last 2 passes and keep the nose up and not hurt the clutch like i've been doing. I've altered my technique and tire pressures and I may be onto something. Seems it likes a quicker clutch release and my tire pressures were at 22psi and 20.5-21psi hot on the last run.

DAMN HEADWINDS! Are a MPH killer apparently! This time i had a slight tailwind so my MPH is probably about normal of 126mphish. I think i've proven the hoosiers are too tall IMO for the ET I want. I'm thinking the shorter tire is better at this point.

Nice passes brutha
Sorry you didn't see your 10 sec pass, but you still got some solid runs in and some seat time to figure out how to launch on that clutch.

Nice passes. It's good to get more seat time... You'll get your 10 sec slip, it's just a matter of time.

I'm not one for black clouds or preordained happens. Atmospheric conditions (storms) are an act of nature and happen randomly.

I certainly feel for you though, that is a terrible misfortune you had to endure. I hope that things will work out OK for you. Best of luck!!

Thanks everyone.... I really didnt think it was going to be this tough. If I had a good weather rental I feel confident I could make it happen. I aprpeciate the invite you gave me to the one rental. However i can never get out of work on a weekday anymore The weather is slipping away way to fast this year aswell if any of you guys have noticed???

I'm enjoying the hell out of this car though. I have 3 races I'm about to go do tonight yet. Supercharged C5 FRC with 550rwhp 6spd stock gearing, The white nitroused T/A in my 11.09 video again with his new NANO setup and air lid and something else, a Bolt on C6Z that runs 11.2s LOL! and hopefully my friends Supra again but doubtful. Maybe another run with a guy we met recently with a Kenny Bell cobra putting down 585rwhp on pump gas and torco will be out to rerun with 21psi vs our last run at 17psi and I got him by a little over a car. GOOD STUFF!! Reminds me of the good ole days meeting up with friends and doing a few pulls, go to the track and giver hell and drive home with the a/c on heated seats on and the navi taking me the wrong direction....ahhhhhh the rich life LOL!
