Well a crappy new PB today at Capitol Raceway
I was able to get a new best ET and MPH atleast but not what I was looking for.
Very first run the car spun hard so it was a wasted run. The track came and went all day and lots of break downs. You cant drift your car through the lanes which makes keeping the initial launch engine coolant/oil temp consistant. I really feel if I had the traction I had on the last pass all day the 10.5x would've came for sure. But I fell short as we all know I'm best at.
Runs went as follows.
60ft-1.646
330ft-4.583
1/8mi-6.961
1/8mph-105.15-new best
1000ft-8.984
1/4mi-10.695
1/4mph-133.41mph-new best
next run
60ft-1.627-car hopped/spun
330ft-4.532
1/8mi-6.916
1/8mph-104.68mph
1000ft-8.944
1/4mi-10.661
1/4mph-132.86mph
last run
60ft-1.713-car bogged so bad it was down to 1000rpms after 4000rpm launch!
330ft-4.671
1/8mi-7.049
1/8mph-104.90
1000ft-9.073
1/4mi-10.786
1/4mph-133.07mph
In car videos of the runs

Outside the car video-if you want to get to yours truely skip to about 55seconds in and 2:00minutes in.

So basically a huge let down cause the car was there, the shifting was there. Just needed the track and 60ft to come together which is always the tough part I guess. This really sucks after leaving out of a 6.880 at 104mph last week at cecil. We had great weather and I put 275/40/17's Mickey Thompson Drag radials (thanks to Billy B). The car definitely likes the slightly shorter tire versus the Hoosier 315/35/17 I was running.
I dedicate this failure to my special friend Tirecraft!

You're getting there!
As we all know it takes seat time to get these three pedal cars down the 1/4
I, for one, know you'll reach your goals...
Or perhaps just do a reach around on one of your tech buddies...

Good job Bruce.
You are leaving so much on the table if your bogging that bad on the launches.
I would probably start by airing the tires up if you're gonna launch so low. If you want to be in the hunt you have to launch higher and smarter. Any 60' times above 1.60 and you should abort the run.
Tough luv frome here on out.

If it was that easy drag racing wouldn't be all that much of a challenge now would it,and BP's wouldn't really be that much of an accomplishment. Now you could always strap on those big DR's with 16 psi and launch off the rev limiter to eliminate that bog...just how big are your ball's home run hitter? Anything within reason can be accomplished if you have the $$$ to support the failed attempt (breakage) as your well aware of. In my opinion your progressing nicely and that 10.5x will be there soon...keep up the good work.
