Another bolt-on LS1 (6 speed) in the 11's!!!
Went to atco tonight and had CaptHuff lend me his drag pack. I ran on Toyo drag radials and GTO spares. When I first got there I had a loose plug and the car was acting strange. Sat around for an hour, maybe two, while people made pass after pass. Finally got everything together and told Pete to get a video. First pass did a nice burnout, launched to a 1.74 60' and had a really clean pass. Got the slip, 11.80@118mph. Got back to the gate and Pete and Marc are nowhere to be found. Went back into the lanes and made a pass, 1.77 60' and missed third. That's the first time I have missed third in about two years with my B&M shifter. Coasted to a 14.2 at 90 some mph. Found pete and he asked me what happened. I asked if he saw my first pass and he said no.. hahaha. Anyways I made the one bothed pass at low 14's, two passes in the 11.90's, and two passes in the 11.80's. Track prep was OK. Heres the breakdown.
RT .966
60' 1.744
330' 4.975
1/8 7.622
MPH 92.70
1000 9.891
1/4 11.806
MPH 117.91
A big thanks to Pete for lending/selling me his drag pack, and always helping me with the car. Pete, was thinking of this on the way home. Doesn't AMP Racing sound so much better as AMPD Racing? Thoughts/suggestions on how to get better are always welcome. It's been a LONG time coming, finally some success.

good job Teal ........ i knew when you got your 60ft... down.... you would crack that whip!!!!
crazy how seat time is the numberone factor in driving these cars...... it took me 20 passes to figure out how to launch these cars. and I can say CAPTHUFF was there to help me too!!! I was thinking he had some kind of factory freak as he was going 12.1 12.2 bone stock.... WTF my car was modded and I couldn't get out the 12.5 range with a 1.98 60ft it was obvious my car was fine......... all it needed was a fking driver lol
glad to see you in the 11's

Congrats Dave!
I wish I'd been able to get that first pass on video, but I was talking to the missus... sorry about that.

Congrats on a great run Dave. I swore off ET chasing, but now that you kicked me out of the top 10, I may need to get back in the game.

Very nice improvement from Sunday, that's not just an 11.999 but well into the 11s at that.
It was of course a combination of the better rear tires (plus skinnies), the better air with less head wind and improved driving that chopped almost half a second off of your ET from Sunday but who cares what the reasons were as long you're in the 11s!
