Video from last weekend's Z06 Fest
Nothing earth shattering, but fun anyway considering the lack of any track prep. Thanks to Dan (Z06phile) for getting these HD vids together for us.
A great time was had by all and no one broke anything or had any major screw-ups! Wish some of you fast northeast guys could have made it!

Jim called me and said (I think I remember correctly) a mid 1.6 sixty because he spun thru the entire first gear.
Chris, what really kills me is we were both going to go with this motor (Jim's choice), mine going in the Black Brick. I got cheap because I knew I was getting Laid off and went with the 402. That motor has 100 rwhp over me and about 90 tq. That same damn motor would have only cost me an additional $1500 and would have put the Black Brick in the mid tens, NA.
I still kick myself in the ***.

Look at it this way Pit... It's a good thing you live in Florida, because if you lived up here, we all would be kicking you is the *** every day for making that choice...

You guys crack me up! Seriously though, the lack of track prep at our rental hurt everyone. TABrattons car should have easily run high 9's, but he had to launch so easy to keep from losing it that it really hurt his ET. I don't have my ET Streets screwed to the rims so I couldn't lower my tire pressure enough to get a decent launch, that's why I spun 'em all the way through 1st. (60' time was a 1.628 and the car has gotten low 1.5's on a prepped track).
Hey Pitt, now that you are back to work, why don't you sell the 402 block and get Pete and Brian to build you a 416. I'll come to Fl this winter and help you with the swap, then we can both go to Gainsville and get booted off the track! (hahaha).
Pete, what's the story with your car, I know you did a bunch of mods but haven't seen any updated times from you. My guess is that you're probably waiting for some better air in the fall up there at ATCO.
( I used to love that track back in the late '60's, my cars alway ran a few tenths better there than at RP or Island)

I've been racing brackets and index all summer. About 120 passes so far. Monster stage 3 is holding up nicely. No ET runs, but I did run 11.17 in an 11.50 qualifying pass.
When good air is here, I'll let her rip.

Great, so you've got lots of seat time this summer. I have no doubt that you'll get numerous 10 second runs with your mods. Looking forward to some pics and vids!
